My son is born in 2013 and is due for P1 registration in 2019. We would like to register for SHHK for a chance to gain priority in Phase 2B.

Anyone knows how is the class allocation at P5 next year? Is 5B the best class? My son was at 4B this year but shifted to 5A next year. Is it a drop?

For P3 & P4, A & B classes are the same. Whereas for P5 & P6, B class is better than A.

For P3 & P4, A class is better than B in terms of Maths results (2nd criteria after total aggregate score from P2) but not on total aggregate score, so someone in B class could have higher aggregate score than some in A class. For P5/6, the first 3 classes in order is 5B, 5A and 5D. These 3 classes took HCL only. For this year, the cut-off to enter 5B is aggregate score of 350 out of 400 for 4 subjects.

Should be no difference, just that non-Chinese will go other classes to attend their respective MT.

They look at total aggregate, not individual subject from info I gather. Anyway, the cut-off may differ year to year depending on the cohort. If level position is 40 & below, out of 300, then should be quite certain will go 5B. Issue is sch don't give level pos.
