On mt Sinai being unsafe this is utter rubbish. No far away is a minister with his beautiful wife living across the road. Where else can be safer ?

Bishan is more unsafe with the Bishan gay lurking around plus got molest cases ever at Bishan park right ?

Wah you very brave for stating these facts. :scared:

What facts? Why mock and deride the affected parents and their children when the fault is MOE's and yet all the time, it is positioned as if the parents and their children are at fault?
:goodpost: Well said, Lee Yi. They choose not to listen to the facts. By reading their several posts, we are well aware of their ill intentions.

If you have not \"walked the talk\" , don't \"talk the walk\" ! Go try it now or ask your kids to walk around the area now and come back and tell us how utter is the rubbish .

May I know which part of Mt Sinai is unsafe? :scratchhead: The campus is used by so many schools through the years. This is the first time I heard of the area around it being unsafe.

        Mt Sinai unsafe?

        Please be more specific.

facts are hard to swallow when one is prejudiced to the location without setting foot on it. with wounded pride and wounded ego, it is impossible to try

            4. Anyway, pls don't see it like they deliberately want to \"weed out\" inquisitive invitees (Btw, did you guys use your real NRIC name in Petition hur?). Who knows, maybe to enliven the session, they will deliberately pick those who typed long essays in the Petition? :rotflmao:

            Yeah!
Maybe take half an hour for the exchanges...another two more guys like this, one n half hour gone..... :imcool:

FYI, panelist(s) can also take up a lot of minutes if they speak slowly and beat about the bush. On average for evening dialogue sessions, 5-8 qns is a good harvest.

A well-prepared presentation by MOE should eliminate 50% of the anticipated qns from the floor. To make the session fruitful, MOE officers should comb and consolidate all key points and solutions proposed in the Petition, forums, sporadic private emails from affected parties.

            1. Challenges /\"unforeseen circumstances\" (SJI delay, DTL MRT @ Malcolm and NSE construction timelines, pollution & safety, etc.)

            2. Mitigating measures (e.g. start assembly later, transport arrangements, photos of AMK ITE campus, artist impression of Mt Sinai campus (if avail), tentative timeline of Mt Sinai refurbishment (but tender hasn't been called))

            3. Alternative solutions (e.g. feasibility & repercussions of IP-O level track switching, IPJC/JC transfers, alternative sites with photos)
Let's work on this ! Probably avoid using vague terms like \" unforeseen circumstances\" or question back the parents to achieve a fruitful discussion.

              nothing off topic

this is in response to some who wrote about the place being unsafe

perhaps they need gurkhas to protect the 16-17 y/o if MOE insist mt sinai is the place

I understand the need to max the negative points about mt sinai before the meeting with MOE

You miss the whole point. The kids can take public transport but why should they be inconvenienced through no fault of theirs?

Comparing the safety of the area to where a Minister stays is irrelevant, the Minister is in safe hands with Gurkha guards and Security Command bodyguards.

                Haizzz.
No wonder I have been having a hard time convincing my kids that in life there need to be give and take. Sometimes things just happen, just take it at their stride. The reply I get -- \"Why should I?? It's not my fault!!\"

RGPS is still there. Not far away is Henry Park Primary. Lots of GEP students studying there everyday. Maybe those primary school kids don't know how dangerous it is? :scared:

Speaking of MOE? Indeed with their pride and ego wounded, they are obviously not ready to acknowledge and face the stark truth.
