Me Time!

my ME time at vivo city was burnt today...thanks to a driver who knocked into the rear bumper of my car. hubby was supposed to drop me off. this lorry came out of side road, hit my car bumper and sped off. we gave chase immediately but still lost the lorry as traffic was heavy    luckily we managed to get hold of the number plate.

Oh dear! How to handle such case? Wats the damage cost -
Made police report. Went to our car accident and claims agent...she quoted $12K (usually on high side) for entire change of bumper and $1k for loss of car use and arranging for loan of replacement.
We only had in-camera installed at the front...but none at the rear....and this lorry driver escaped from the back :stompfeet: So we are going to install a camera at the rear....touchwood.
Today almost like acting in mediacorp drama...chasing after a lorry on a busy road. -
The consolation is we managed to get the lorry number plate...but the 很不爽 is to be knocked by someone in a hit-and-run accident. All of our time today was spent at the authorized car agent making claims and then back to police station...to submit the video captured on the camera.
Lunch today was 2 cups of milo and 2 packets of biscuits.
Don't know what is next. 1 week in June with no car to use    -
Wouldn’t the repair shop have car for use? Or rent car & claim from insurer? We did that a few years back when our car got banged by taxi coming out from side road. The cover for the repairs was fast. But it took forever for the cover for rental to be made out to us though.

our car is covered by authorized agent...besides the slots are full till june. insurance coverage included loss of car use, so there should be a temporary car during the 9 days of servicing. -

9 days to get a bumper changed at my inconvenience...what pisses me is the driver hit and drove off. after managing to track down his company, he called and told me it's only a light knock and he wants to settle by bringing my car to some workshop to get it done. his vehicle is a lorry, mine is a passenger car, not a tank. -
Janet, we also kena same scenario like yours - got hit at the rear by lorry.
However the lorry driver didn’t run off when dh flagged him down at the roadside (along highway) to settle this.
Yours must be pretty bad or is it the usual norm of workshops to give a longer repair lead time? -
