      Hi there,
I'm new to this forum and am reading with much interest as my boy's due for registration next year..

Does anyone know which sec sch accepts ALL the kids from their affiliated pri sch? For instance, I hear that ACS boys from Barker Rd or Junior all get a place in either ACS (I) or ACS (Barker Rd).

Most schools have a minimum cut-off but I can't seem to find the information anywhere.

      THanks!

Haha … think I am very "outdated" with the schooling policy.

I have no problem getting a school for my daughter … but now I must "scratch head" how to find a good school for my son.

        Karmeleon, any tips to share?

                Hi SSmama,

There is NO sec school that accept all the kids from their affiliated primary school.

BUT for schools such as MGS ,SCGS, ST Nicholas, St Margaret, the affiliated pri school child needs to qualify for at least the EXPRESS stream in the secondary school.

As for ACS (I), a minimum cut off point (varies from year to year ) is still required for the affiliated pri school child to be admitted. Think ACS (Barker Road) is less stringent.

For boys' school, SJI is affiliated to De La Salle, ST STephens, St Anthony, SJI Junior but again a minimum cut off is needed.

Catholic High has an affiliated Catholic primary section too. So does St Andrew Secondary with St Andrew Junior. Maris stella High has a affiliated pri school section too.

                Hope the info helps. 😄

All these schools have minimum cut-off point. Most COP would average around 220 to 230 to even 240+.

So far, only have heard SCGS - can get in as long as the student meets 200 for express stream.

Why RGPS is not affiliated RGSS? Any idea, anyone?

Only government-aided schools have affiliations between their primary and secondary schools. RGPS and RGS are government schools.
