yep. it's like before/after school care. fees for kcare @ PV is $370. there's a $150 basic subsidy (more if u qualify for additional subsidy). so need pay $220 for kcare. but understand that we need to pay additional charges (think is $6/day if I not wrong) for full day kcare during the sch holidays.kopibeanie:
results out. I got offered for the one at punggol view. AM sch, PM Kcare. anyone else too?
Is kcare like after school care?
Cud u share the fee for kcare?
so rough estimate of total fees:-
during sch term: $150 (moe kindy) + $370 (kcare) - $150 (basic subsidy) = $370/mth
during sch holidays: $370 (kcare) + $120 (assuming $6 x 20days) - $150 (basic subsidy) = $340/mth -
Eh… for sengkang green, there is no additional payments for school holidays. Thus far, I have not made payment in addition to the $210 (after $150 subsidy) for March school holidays, norbeen notified of any extra charges for June. This is unlike the student care services in the primary school. My ds1 in YMCA needs to top up $6 for every full day during school holidays.
You may want to seek clarification from the service provider directly. -
Plus, during school holiday, you still need to pay MOE kindergarten school fees. It is like primary school n secondary school. Teachers still need to be paid.

oh is it??!! I saw a sign with the $6/day extra charges pasted outside the kcare main door. I also asked 1 of the kcare teachers & she thinks that there's extra charges but she's not 100% sure. hmm. will check again. hopefully no extra charges.Eh... for sengkang green, there is no additional payments for school holidays. Hi Mummies
My girl has been offered a place with SK green MOE kindergarten early May this yr and we have accepted it. However, as we opt for the PM kcare, I was wondering if the children would be learning any other things during the kcare, or would they be left alone to watch video clips or play toys instead of learning?
If the kcare does not teach anything unlike private childcare, can I fetch my girl home earlier at around 3pm instead of 7pm?
Appreciate some feedbacks. -
Hi Mummies,
i had registered my girl for MOE kindergarten/Kcare in WestSpring primary for 2016 k1 intake. Currently my girl is at New life CC, im still anticipating shld i withdrawn her from her current CC. Any feedback from those mummies whose child was alrdy in any MOE kindergerten/ Kcare? -
My boy is in MK@SK Green PM session and he attends Kcare too. He’s definitely vr happy in sch and always sing praises of his tchrs. I was actually amazed when he starts communicating with us in Chinese, this is something he have nv done so even in his previous cc. Im paying $160 for MK and $120 for Kcare. I’m also not aware of the additional charges involve since no memo issued.

My boy also got a place at Punggol View AM slot. hope that he would be happy and able to transit well when it comes to primary 1. I was also deliberating if I should send him there as it seems to be learn through play. But hubby reminded me what is it that I want for my boy? And I decided that I should stand firm to what I believe and want for him… so hence the decision.

Does MK / the kcare have extra eca like art classes organised for kids who wanna opt in? Or its purely just their lessons based.
Im also curious what they do in kcare. I hope its not just sitting ard waiting to be fetched.
Maybe the briefing organised in july will shed some light.
