      Parents,

Have you ever heard from your children that the teachers scolded the students "stupid", "idiots"?

Though my children are not the one being scolded, I’m so disappointed to hear my kids coming back from school and telling me "Mummy, today my teacher scolded so and so stupid", "Mummy, today relief teacher scolded xxx and xxx "These 2 idiots can’t stop talking and playing".

I have also heard of teacher telling student "shut up lah" and CCA teacher throwing clipboard on the floor and papers from the clipboard flew when the boys were not listening to instructions during CCA.

Parents, did your children ever tell you about incidents like these? I know teachers are also human but they are the role models for the students.

Thanks qms. I understand more attention would be given to students in better class. Is it right?

That's not true, in terms of teaching resources. Perhaps you may like to take a look at the form teachers taking charge of the P6 students this year to get a rough idea.

Having said that, only students in the top classes take HMT. Some students in these classes are also given opportunities to attend enrichment programs.

However, just because a child is not in the top classes this year doesn't mean that he will not be in the top classes for the remaining years in the school.

i felt the school or teachers totally neglected those students on weaker class. just let them \"go\" ... No remedial and with retired teacher (after the lesson, will leave the school). My girl result from moderate drop to worst this year (already knew mid year result). Very sad and disappointed

            Dino mummy:

My DS1 couldn't swim after the classes in RMPS. We sent him for pte swimming class when he was in P4-5.
My DS2 went to the same pte swim class as DS1 so now he is with the \"can swim\" swim group during the RMPS weekly swim class. It is easier for him and less fear for me too cos I worry wht the coaches can look after so many at 1 go...
Personally, I don't think a kid can master swimming just by attending RMPS swim class.

The kids are divided into groups. At least 3 groups I think.

Children will separated into 12 or less depend in a group. They may know how to swim and only those \"can swim\" will go to deep pool. So most of the children will stay medium pool.

If she's in P3, there is usually a drop as there are new components to be tested, eg english composition, 作文 and Science. Need to analyse the weak areas and improve on it.

I see. You may want to feedback to the school and see what the teachers say. Even if something will be done it will be after the school holidays. Try to make use of the June holidays to work on the weak areas with your daughter.

Then, you'd better be prepared for another big drop when your child reaches P5.

Actually, why do you want your child to attend remedial? I would rather my child not be required to attend remedial because it would mean he is able to cope.

Perhaps you may like to speak to the form teacher about your child's performance?

My child is in P3 this year and there had been no PTM since P1. There was supposed to be one this week according to the school's calendar but it was cancelled 😞

There has been no PTM since the current principal came onboard.

With the turnover issue, I think it doesn't affect only the so-called weaker class. This seems to be the case for the other classes, too.
