Having second thoughts abt the school despite my initial encounter and observation hv been positive.
First was my son has to undergoes numerous change of teachers (first set that he took well to, left within 1-2months. Then he was introduced to 3 new teachers after tat). When i questioned the change of teachers, i was told that 2 of them hv to go due to medical condition, and 1 is because her contract has ended. And the funniest thing is "should the school not informed the parents if there is gg to be a change in teacher?? Liked a note in the communication book or ??"
Secondly, due to an encounter with one of the teacher. My son developed a fear in gg to school for a couple of wks. No doubt the issue was quickly taken care of, but now…i am getting a bit concern after reading of the feedbacks posted in another forum.
When i asked my son, he said he is "happy in school".
My question to myself "is my son in good hands?". I am getting a bit worried. -
 yikes after so many feedbacks , i think i will not be registering my boy in MMI jurong west extn..i think i will check out carpe diem instead....
oh yeah even in MMI West Coast, they have a comm book but they dont inform of the change of teachers when they change...i sometimes happen to drop by the centre.. or call them n they tell me...
when ask my boy,,he also says he is happy but from the feedback frm teachers...i really dunno if its true.. his teachers always say that he prefers to be by himself..so they leave him alone...s*** i think that am i paying over $500++ to let the teachers leave him alone /????// -

I’m sure you would have felt better if they said:
"Your son is such a delightfully thoughtful child that we decided to give him his own space to indulge in his private pursuits of the deeper secrets of the universe." -
Imagine this parents : I have spoken to the Principal of Carpe DIem Jurong west and she mentioned that for the last 3 years she is there ,,there is always HFMD reported..can you imagine how shocked I was hahahahaaaaa

Chixchix, i do have the same problem with my son being left alone. When he started school, with seperation anxiety…he will cry and sit in one corner, waiting for me to pick him up. I thought he has OUTGrown that, after attending the school for 5 months plus.
Yes, he has. Outgrown the crying part but not the sitting in one corner! I dun realised it when i decided to peek into the classrm recently after dropping him off. I was taken by surprised!
I raised the concern to the teachers and was told that "he normally sit there for a while when he enter the classrm and joined the class when he warms up."
I was liked "ar??? Sit in one corner to warm up?" Frankly speaking, i would rather that he be encouraged to sit on the chair to read a book as a warming up session! ahaha… -
StressMum ,your child in wch centre now ?
