Reading the article, I have question on how vaccination can prevent cancer?? Who know if it causes it...

Diet, lifestyle and also our emotion well beings can contribute to cancer. Prevention is always better than cure.

My family is slowly adopting nutritional immunology lifestyle after my eldest girl eczema episode which makes us more conscious of what we eat and our health.
I am also wondering what kind of vaccination can prevent this illness :?

I guess keeping oneself less stressful and be happy is another way of getting cancer.

Once a cancer patient told me, need to keep stress level down, don't be too worrying over small matter.

I agree. My late mum is a good example. She eats n live a healthy lifestyle but she is very very stressed. She passed away due to cancer.

HPV vaccination for cervical cancer.[/quote]Yes, I think the doctor may be referring to this particular vaccination, and possibly Hep B, not the ones like DPT, MMR etc. Some strains of HPV are linked to cervical cancer, and Hep B has been linked with liver cancer. The HPV vaccine is still fairly new though. You can read up more if you google.

There is no evidence that HPV can prevent cancer effectively I think. There is also no studies if the things in the ingredients might causes cancer? Not immediate effect but who knows long term or accumulation of the toxins from vaccinations in the body?

It is the uncertainty about Cancer that causes the great fear.

Not so sure about the extent and quality of the evidence, but I agree it seems to be not so well-proven. We are holding off on that for our girls as it's still fairly new. I hope that they will avoid behaviours which could lead to catching the virus in the first place.

My personal ‘conclusion’ pertaining to who will get cancer (base on experiences of cancer patients around me):

                    1. Gene
                    2. Emotion / Temper / Stress
                    3. Lifestyle

If poor gene + bad temper + poor lifestyle habit = 101% risk

If good gene + bad temper + good lifestyle habit = 20% risk

If poor gene + good temper + good lifestyle habit = 75% risk

if good gene + good temper + poor lifestyle habit = 10% risk

                    etc

Gene is the key and temperament is second (when i have several friends passed on with cancer even though they so healthy lifestyle and rich while people who smoke and drink live till ripe old age).

                      Hi,

For those Cancer patients undergoing treatment .
Chemotherapy drugs are toxic to normal cells as well as cancer cells. A dose that will destroy cancer cells will probably cause damage to some normal cells. Doctors adjust doses to do the least amount of harm possible to normal cells. Some patients feel few or no side effects, and others may have more serious side effects. In some cases, a dose adjustment is all that is needed to reduce or stop a side effect.

Nausea and vomiting are common, but can usually be controlled by taking anti-nausea drugs, drinking enough fluids, and avoiding spicy foods. Loss of appetite may be due to nausea or the stress of undergoing cancer treatment.

                      Resveratrol and Cancer Management

Resveratrol combats cancer cells in various ways. As mentioned by Sitris Pharmaceutical’s Dr Sinclair, resveratrol triggers the sirtuin enzyme, SIRT1, which acts as guardian of cells’ DNA and gene communication. Likewise, Resveratrol, as a potent antioxidant, neutralizes free radicals (Free radicals can bring about cancer by causing mutations in a cell’s DNA or by encouraging inflammation). In conclusion, resveratrol promotes apoptosis of cancer cells – a natural process whereby cells are pre-programmed to die. Resveratrol promoted apoptosis is especially important considering cancer often disables a cell’s tumor suppressor gene, P53, leaving the cell without a means to protect itself.

Types of Cancer Possibly Treated Resveratrol

Presently, research is being done to determine the specific types of cancer that resveratrol is effective against, as well the effective dosages and methods of administration (e.g. oral, intravenous, or topical) for each type of cancer. Some types of cancers that succumb to resveratrol intervention:

                      Leukaemia & Blood Cancers

Studies has shown that grape seed extract induces leukaemia cells to commit suicide. Grape seed extracts contain resveratrol.

                      Breast Cancer

Resveratrol strongly inhibits BRCA1-mutant tumour growth. Resveratrol prevents the initial stage that occurs when estrogen begins the process that leads to breast cancer.

                      Pancreatic Cancer

By disabling pancreatic cancer cells’ mitochondria (i.e. power source) resveratrol kills pancreatic cancer cells while protecting healthy cells from radiation treatment.

                      Lung Cancer

Research has shown that cigarette smoke destroys SIRT1 genes in lung cells while other studies have revealed, that resveratrol increases SIRT1 activity. Conceivably, this is why men between the ages of 45 and 69 who smoke, have a 60% reduction of lung cancer if they drink one or two glasses of red wine per day – or a 2% reduced risk of getting cancer for each glass of red wine consumed per month.

                      Prostate Cancer

Researchers have revealed that resveratrol might prevent or diminish prostate cancer problems. According to them, men who drink 4 to 7 glasses of red wine per week are half as likely to be diagnosed with prostate cancer. Further, mice given resveratrol are 87% less likely to develop the most deadly form of prostate cancer and are 48 % more likely to have their tumour growth slowed or stopped.

                      Skin Cancer

Resveratrol applied topically has showed promising results in the prevention of skin cancer. Specifically, when resveratrol was applied to the skin of hairless mice before UVB (solar) radiation exposure, the mice had less skin tumours than mice without eating resveratrol. Further, resveratrol applied to the skin of hairless mice after UVB exposure also helped to prevent skin tumours.
