ngl2010:
If in term 3 already started the application process for RA, then I guess only those qualified with average 3.6 and respective 4.0 and top 15% for MYPR result have the chance to apply, right? Maybe EOY result is for another reference for final decision.
Hi PiggyLalala,PiggyLalala:
Hi ngl,
Nice to see you.
Eoy shld finish and results shld be out by term 4, week 6, right? Won't the teachers be looking at the EOY results before finalising the RA offers.
Nice to see you too.
During the talk, they only mentioned about MYPR but your logic makes sense. -

I know of someone who only got 3.4 in yr2 but still got into Math RA since he was quite good at it. EOY results just make sure you maintain your 85 percentile in the cohort and around 3.6 GPA.

Today is the first day of Final Year Exam for our Year-4 boys.
GAP-Semester will begin on week-6 of Term-3 and stretch till middle of Term-4 (during which the boys need not go to school). After Gap Sem, the boys will be back in school again for their final revision before the O-Level HCL exam..
ALL THE BEST to our Year-4 boys in the upcoming Exams, and may they have a fun & fulfilling Gap Sem experience !! :rahrah: -

Hi, can any parents of past Dsa applicants shed some light on what are the boys supposed to exactly do if they bring their Irs projects for the interview? Are they supposed to present the entire project or interviewers post questions about the project? To present entire project will take about 8mins. :scratchhead:

No need to prepare the presentation. The interviewer will ask question randomly. My ds was not even asked at all. Brought all the stuff for nothingβ¦

Seems not worth dsa-ing into RI then. Didn't even ask relevant question.
Hopeless. Ask people to bring but didn't ask a thing -

I remembered asking my son to prepare a 1 to 2 mins presentation on his project. During the interview, he was asked to present his project but no further questions were asked. However for some of his classmates, questions were asked on their projects after their presentation. So it all depends on the interviewers.
Good luck.

PiggyLalala:
Thanks, PiggyLalala. Looks like I have to ask my DS to review the materials and just present the key points cos' no time to present entire project.Miracle Child:
