oh… looks like ALPS quiet popular in Bukit Merah area. I guess no more hope for Radin Mas as my child will be in 2C phrase if we look at this year 2A registration results.

For last year, the ratio of those participating in ballot as compared available slots for 1-2km is around 3.4 applicants :1 slot.

Hi dkiasu, both Gan Eng Seng and Zhangde (and Radin Mas) are 1-2km from me. I am not hoping for Radin Mas mainly because it seems to be the most popular school in Bukit Merah area and don't think we will stand a good chance.

Hi canuckmum! I also stay at Bukit Merah area and thinking of Gan Eng Seng for my children (Twins)
But not sure about Zhangde :roll:

Hi. Just tring to get an idea. I applied for PV in 3 different schools. within 1km, between 1-2 km and greater than 2km. Was rejected at all 3 schools. Anyone found it difficult getting a PV spot in schools for 2017 intake.

I was wiling to do more than required PV hours and in many different capacities but still rejected.
Is it because schools are cutting down on number of parents accepted for PV?

I applied Temasek Pri and got rejected via letter. Also applied PV in Ngee Ann Pri. Called today and was told they are just starting to call up PV. I have a feeling i will be out because i live in Tampines. more than 2km from Ngee Ann Pri. So i went to \"pai pai\" ( offer my prayers hopingit will be answered, though my prayers are often left unanswered . Thus, thinking of moving near Ngee Ann Pri within 1KM if not called up for PV.

Does anyone kbow my son born 2010 chances of entering Ngee Ann is good if i stay within 1KM?? Sigh... Why become so stress over primary registrations?????? :slapshead: :slapshead:

Btw i love this thread. Finally felt i have a place to pour my sorrows out... Husband flies so often i am left alone with two boys 2010 & 2011.

It won't be stressful if you are willing to consider other schools beside the hotly contested ones. There are a number of schools that don't required balloting in Tampines.

Ngee Ann Primary typically doesn't require balloting for SC < 1km, chances are good (but things may always change).

Because i am looking at affliated schools, i have two boys a year each. Affliated schools will save 1/2 a ton of my future headache. Tampines had a number of schools, better ones i am not within 2km. Average one and within 1KM bit no affliations. That means my headache will come again when they end their primary.....
