When my DS went for it 2 years ago, it was more like a selection camp rather than interview. The candidates were put in groups of 5 with 2 teachers observing per group. They then were given a task to build a bridge from straws (or something) that can sustain a certain kind of load. After that they interview the candidates together in the group to ask them about the experiment, what they notice, how they can improve, how they work together etc. My DS said it was a little bit like The Apprentice show on tv. My DS group failed to build the bridge properly but he still made it through to SST. I think they just want to test your ability to think out of the box on solutions as well as your ability to articulate your points well. As mentioned earlier, the school places quite a lot of emphasis on presentation skills later and I can see my Sec 2 DS very confident these days. Good luck all!!

I read somewhere someone asking if need to bring certificates, documents for the Round 2 selection camp this Sat and 1 Aug.

Called up SST and the nice people there said no need.

You only need to bring all those stated in the email.

Any update from children that attended today’s Activity Selection test?

My so just told me that his tuition classmate already got the CO from SST. He applied via sports. This boy is a member of Singapore jounir soccer association (or something like that). Not sure if this is true. Experienced parents may give some input please. Thank you.

Ya. Same. He and all the classmates who apply sst also not received anything. That's why when he told me I was so puzzle. Not sure that boy just joking or serious.
