kyoto: Japan Guide has some good walk suggestions. In Autumn, you must visit Arashiyama. We stayed in ryokans in Kyoto. If you like hello Kitty, check out the new Hello Kitty Cafe at the streets of Higashiyama which just opened in Nov last year. I am not a Hello Kitty fan, but I still enjoyed it even though only hubby and I on the trip. Check out my review on TA:TheAnswer:
Hi everyone, can I have some suggestions on places that we should visit in Kyoto, Kobe, Osaka, Hyogo Perfecture, kinosaki, Arima and Himeji? We are visiting in Nov. Just me and hubby. Thanks in advance.
Hi all, please recommend hotels for the above places. Thanks.

Himeji: must visit Himeji castle. If you want cheap hotel Toyoko Inn Himeji is quite convenient. But we did not stay in Himeji. Just stop at the train station on our way from Fukuyama to Kyoto, went to the castle and come back to catch our train to Kyoto.
osaka: not sure what's your budget for hotel. We stayed at a tourist class hotel just 1 min from Namba subway and afew mins walk to the airport Nankai express and Takashimaya. A few mins walk to the restaurants at Dotomburi and shopping at Shinsabasi. It comes with simple breakfast and an onsen. Check out my review on TA if you are interested.

Kobe: eat Kobe beef at A1. Cheap and super good!

Hello, we (2A1C) like these hotels:moomoo2:
Hi,
Plan to visit Tokyo, Osaka and Koyto from 1/12/2015 to 13/12/2015.
Any recommendation for accommodation in Tokyo and Osaka for 2A and 2C?
Tokyo
Hotel Ryumeikan Tokyo
Near Tokyo Station (about 5-7 minutes' walk at 6-year-old's pace)
Convenience shop (Family Mart) nearby
Tokyo Station itself has a Daimaru with lovely food hall
Rooms have Nespresso machine and yummy snacks
Keio Plaza
Established hotel about 7-10 minutes' walk (6-year-old's pace) from Shinjuku Station
Rooms are pretty decent
Osaka
Hotel Monterey Grasmere Osaka
Practically next to JR Namba station
OCAT terminal is next door to the hotel (OCAT = Osaka City Air Terminal which is a bus terminal for the Airport Limousine Bus Services for Kansai and Itami airports)
There's a shopping centre with a supermarket next to the hotel
Hotel has a stone chapel inside (recreation of an English chapel)
Hope this helps! -

During our last trip to Japan in June, we stayed at
Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo, which is next to Ikebukuro Station
Hotel Granvia Osaka, which is just above the Osaka Station, entrance to hotel within the station. This hotel has family rooms for 4 people. -
