Thanks Zappy and Esteema for your inputs. Have been revising since Jan this year and more disheartening news surfaced. DS seems to have very very bad memory. He cant recall things that I teach yesterday. He will give a blank face as if is something new to him. I have to "re-revise" with him again and again. This make the process very slow and dry. The more I revised with him, the more things he dont know. I am scare and worry now. So much things to revise and teach and yet so little time.
He needs time to study, do homework, attends tuition, attends remedial, learn tingxie, do tuition homework etc. Left little time to do revision actually.
Feel like crying now… so sad

By year or by topic is better?
for languages (English / Chinese / Higher Chinese ) -
EPH (and some other) publishers print only by year. For languages, publishers never print (produce), by Topic.
ii)
But, for Maths / Science, publishers do produced 2 type : by year, as well as by Topic, can choose.
For Science -
usually people parents to buy by Topic, because it makes Science revision easier.
For Maths, some people prefer by Topic, others prefer by year.
When you go through revision with your child, let child decide which one makes it easier for him / her.
Do you let your kids try to do past years papers now or wait till P6? Do those that they know first? -

By year or by topic is better? There are only a few licensed publishers though, so the ones sold at the school bookshop should still be the same as the ones in Popular - maybe the answer sheets just dropped out. Either way, just check before getting, whether from Popular or school bookshop.
I think the Popular are just $4-5 for the last 3 years of PSLE papers for each subject.
Comes in a book form (perforated and can tear out) with answers and also in 2 formats
- By year
- By topic -

RE: Another by election
I am BB resident. I strongly agreed with what jetsetter had said. :salute: CSJ is seldom seen in BTH GRC. My SIL lives in that GRC. Infact seldom see any SDP volunteers. 台下十年功,台上三分钟。做人要用功,单靠表面功,永不会成功!
jetsetter:
Yeah that's boring.. As a voter(Last GE) I am quite sick of hearing all these. We all can see that the Gov already have many plans to take care of the under privileged. I feel the PAP gov is already doing a very good job in this aspect. Nothing much to nitpick.
If I would to run the campaign I would focus on other areas.. like how to better serve the residents. Go do research and find out what is poorly maintained in BB. Show the residents that you are really committed to taking good care of the estate and the pple.
There is no doubt that PAP candidate are more than capable of handling multiple roles.. DO and MP are good examples.. Not only looking after 2(or more?) jobs, and CCA on top of those, they can even afford to have time for ECAs. So capability is not an issue for them.
Thing is, does the resident wants someone who is faithful/dedicated to serving the residents or treat the MP role as part time job/task?
ASK the residents, what they really want..
haha...yes, boring...maybe BB voters are rather apathetic. You don't see the same fervour as the PE BE rallies. The voters in PE were much younger and left-winged.
You don't need a full-time MP if you've a strong team of volunteers and grassroots leaders. Moreover, the TC template is already there from his predecessor. Murali only needs to take over and things will continue to run smoothly like before.
CSJ needs to work full-time as he and all his volunteers will need to learn the ropes. There'll be trials and errors, liaisons with the authorities to get approvals and grants, replacing the block number signages, setting up new TC office, calling for new tenders, understanding how quarterly spring cleaning of hawker centres works. Despite introducing a Facility Mgmt expert at their first rally, they showed that they still didn't quite know how the system works; that's why they made a boo boo by dragging in URA last week. URA has nothing to do with TCs! :faint: :slapshead:
The learning curve will be steep for a party that hasn't run a TC for decades.
And will CSJ be using BB for his wide array of political roadshows every weekend? Does he really like to do volunteer work like Murali who devoted more than 10 years of his mid-career life giving free legal advices to BB residents after his office hours?
You see CSJ holed up in his tiny flat in defiance, reading books on western democracy, writing books and attending CEC meetings occasionally. He and his wife could've gone to work as private tutors or apply to teach in private schools as lecturers. If they had sponsors from abroad, and don't need to be employed, then go do some social work like giving free tuition to poor students, or joining some charity organisations to distribute meals to the elderly or orphans.
So now there's a new election, CSJ appears out of no where to say he truly cares for a new bunch of residents and starts distributing goodie bags to them like he is a regular community worker?
Did you know why Sylvia Lim & WP won the GE2011? After GE2007 defeat, SL visited all the blocks, unit to unit, in Aljunied GRC after her lecturing hours and on weekends to get to know residents and touch their hearts with her sincerity and tenacity. 4 years. Listen carefully: 4 years!
But did you see CSJ doing that in BTH GRC after GE2015? CSJ doesn't care much about the community. He is an opportunist, a power-hungry politician and determined avenger who just wants to jump on any bandwagon that takes him into Parliament. There's no consistency nor sincerity in his talk and actions. He just retreated into his little coop to criticise from his armchair, plotting his next paper attack on G policies. 真是懒得不行![/quote] -
