From my analysis, most likely 6 parents from RVPS, 5 parents from ZDPS and 3 parents from RMPS had withdrwan from earlier phases ( all 14 of them are SC within 1 km of ALPS ) and registered at ALPS under P2C ( most likely at the last minute ).

It is unimaginable that nearly 50 parents who stands NO CHANCE at all( more than 1km ) to get into ALPS at P2C had registered at ALPS.

Should we write collectively to MOE or principal or MP to ask them to consider to admit all? After all only 3 more students and all are SC within 1km.

You can't say that, because phase 2c registration occurred over 3 days.

Some of these 50 parents may have registered on the first day of P2C.
At that point in time, on day 1 when they registered, how would they have known beforehand that balloting going to arise within 1 km from Alexandra, and they totally zero chance, end up stranded can't enrol their child into a P2C school, can only wait for P2C (S) to come ?

After all, did last year (2014) Batch balloted within 1 km, at Alexandra ?

This is the rules of the p1 registration that all hve to follow. If they make exception, they hve to make exception at all other areas as well as many schools are balloting within 1km. Not possible.

It is a long shot. But at lease we try. Besides the government has been encouraging ministry and stats board to listen to SC more since last election within certain tolerance and when it make sense. Maybe it is possible to do so without breaking the rules.

Is very unlikely moe will relent . I rather moe look into future years n implement a rule that those have a confirmed place in earlier phases are not allow to withdraw to join the next phase . This will be fair as it these parents think carefully before applying.

Every parent should think carefully and make their wise decision during their precious chance in the earlier phases. Unless it is due to unforeseen circumstances. Parents in phase 2C are those who have no connection to the school and got no choice but wait patiently for their chance to come.

Appeal to MOE will only set precedent and allow more selfish parents to make last min withdrawals in phase 2c in future p1 registrations, hoping MOE will allow them to squeeze in too. End up more schools need to ballot for SC<1km.

Sorry, I wd like to rephrase my earlier post from " It is unimaginable that nearly 50 parents who stands NO CHANCE at all( more than 1km ) to get into ALPS at P2C had registered at ALPS. " to " It is unimaginable that nearly 50 parents who stand NO CHANCE at all to get into ALPS at P2C had failed to deregister from ALPS. "

What happened to these parents ? Ignorant, Boh Chap, high risk takers or … Afterall, it was quite clear by the end of the the 2nd day that Balloting within 1 km for ALPS is very likely required.
