          :booboo:

Tao Nan is only 30min each time. The rest is the same, thus 40 hours in a year.

30 min!!! Aiyoh, wake up so early to do 30 min pv? It really speaks of the determination of the parent. Impressed. :celebrate:

I did a bit of that in the initial days - thought to clock regular time good. But when the opportunity came, we seized those one off events (outings, festivals, what nots), thankfully, the 40 hours in our pocket....now can sit back and give chance to other parents. 😉

              NYPS.

Can't even volunteer for those activities that clock a few hours coz they are scared that you don't continue with the traffic warden duties if you can clock from other activities...

I thought NYPS sets 80 hours for PV...didn't know there are other schools which set 80 hours too

A school which takes in many PVs will not care much if the child gets in at Phase 2B or not...its objective is to get routine jobs done for FREE...parents will do it willingly and schools get to enjoy FREE labour.
During registration for Phase 2B, parents have to ballot if demand exceeds.

A friend told me NYPS gets parents to do 30 min of traffic warden every day. For the pathetic 1/2 hour from 645am to 715am.

not many schools do that lah. Mostly 40...a couple 60....but 80 really takes the cake.

Son’s school takes in limited PVs, so that it can take in all the kids at 2B…used to take many PV in earlier years but now it cuts down…there are times when there are insufficient PVs, so those chalking up hours will try to take up extra ‘jobs’ if school requests.

thus there were parents dropping out after a few weeks.

30 min is actually good for me. Less disruption to my daily routines. 😄
