Hi all ALPS parents,

My son will also be joining ALPS in 2016.

Is the orientation date confirmed? the school will notify us soon? I think the first thing I will do during the orientation is to look up for the 3 pairs of twins. All thanks to them that we can get in without balloting.

My Girl will be in 2016 P1 intake. Hi to all parents! Did i miss some news on the 3 pairs of twins? What happen to them?

What to expect on Administration Day (19th Oct 2015)

a) Obtain, complete and submission of
- GIRO form for payment of misc fees (Please have your bank account number in hand. BB Bonus account not allowed for misc fees payment)
- Edusave withdrawal form for 2nd tier misc fees
- Pupil Data Form (required by MOE)
- School based forms

b) Collection of P1 booklist, placement of orders
- Dates for purchase of books will be indicated in the list.
- Usually bookshop will be opened in late Nov

c) Orientation infomation
- some information on what to expect on orientation day.
- Class assigned will not be known until closer to orientation day

c) Submission for name tag orders to BIBI & BABA (supplier of school uniform)
- A representative will be there on admin day to collect orders
- No trying of uniforms will be available on admin day - need to bring child down to shop
- School socks, uniforms, tie(for Mondays) and name tags to be purchased from BIBI & BABA

d) Submission of form for school bus.
- Arrangement of school bus transportation matters with School Bus Operator

* Please refer to the school letter for the timing assigned *

Ah, that explains why you are not aware of the twins. Most of us are from 2C and we were grateful to the twins because on the last day of registration, we were told that SC within 1km will go into balloting as there are 154 applicants vying for 151 vacancies. Then the following week, APS called to say, all 154 are in, no need for balloting because there are 3 pairs of twins among the 154. Each pair of twins was counted as one entity, so instead of 154 applicants, they could take that as 151 applicants.

Thanks lonerunner for the info on the administration day. Just wondering when we can start buying the uniforms and PE attire. Any idea whether we will be informed whether our application for SCC is successful on administration day?

School uniform - maybe buy towards Dec? Kids might outgrow the uniforms if we purchase too early


SCC - this one I'm not too sure as I didnt ask in details. Maybe you could call admin office to confirm
