No. But my friend went last Nov. I saw her photos. Very pretty. There was a place by the sea that looked like Greece! It seems to be the new go to place for Singaporeans. Probably because Singaporeans have all visited other parts of Japan already and are looking for new places to go. I understand that Prime travel has also starting organizing tours there. I just received their email.

Btw, I think my friend self drive around.

Shikoku is probably less explored by tourists but JR trains are available in some major cities. I am thinking to explore this island during my next trip to Japan.

I’m traveling to Fukuoka, any tips? I heard Japan is really baby friendly but and afriad my expressive and talkative baby will make a lot of noise on the train. Haha…

Does any one have any recommendations? Looking for one with Japanese style bedding, private outdoor bath and in room dining.

You can check http://www.japanican.com
Lots of choices. I use them all the time. Some others may recommend Jalan.net which they say is cheaper but Jalan only allow booking 2 mths or so out most of the time when I checked and for peak periods, all the good ryokans will be fully booked by then.

The last time I checked, the ropeway at Hakone is still closed due to volcanic activities. So not sure if you still want to go in that situation.
