But different pockets  We manage our finances separately. We don't know how much each of us has. He gives me a fixed sum every month for his share of the related expenses (eg. kids fees, car loan) and I just managed. -

I use ETrade they charge USD9.90 per trade. -
Hi KSP,
It depends on how many shares you buy. For regular ordres, it's USD0.005 per share. You can find their fee schedule here: http://www.interactivebrokers.com.hk/en/p.php?f=commission
The last time I bought usd9000 worth of shares and they only charged me usd1! -

I also missed out on the Noble. Have been following it for quite some time but still didn't do anything :stupid:hi mmm,
Nope, no clue how to. Hubby was so excited about going into the US market when it was going crazy (citibank going for dollars).
Agree it's more interesting and volatile, but I feel that generally the market seems to be dominated by pp who are in the know. end up I'm on the losing end. So I just buy those 'safer' stocks and partake in the dividend.
I'm more of the buy and hold person. If a stock is good, why should I buy and sell? I need to get rid of that mentality but sometimes I just prefer to hold. And I'm not aggressive player - I buy what I can afford to pay for (no guts to shortsell).
Am hoping to get into some Ascendas REIT. Was looking at Noble, Olam....but it shot up after I started looking but never got into buying. :stupid: :stupid:
I'm also a buy and hold person. Too lazy to watch the market so closely. That's why I only buy those \"value\" stocks - high div yield, low PE and PB stuff. Also due to my inaction (or rather laziness), I've missed many opportunities to take profit at the high the stocks went back to square one, especially during the last crisis. It's as if the whole thing was a dream

How do you make payment? Do you need to have some deposits before you can trade??? The commission is low but just wonder how it works.Hi KSP,

was for a time interested in Hyflux, and then Hyflux Water Trust. Any insights into these? figured that water is a critical commodity, but I'm not sure why HWT is not zooming up.
I must be :siao: ...zoom up I complain never buy; cheap I scared to go in. -
Anyone mis out on CapitaLand too? High of $8-9 then now trading half of that price…

Sigh....I have some from 6+, still holding tight. But at least managed to salvage a bit from their rights issues and bought more at 3+.
I'll wait....
