        Thanks for the news.

How does Popular’s book fair compare with those of MPH? I’m not too much into assessment books (yet), so would only consider going if the discount on their story books is good (given the distance, has to be better than the usual 20-25% storewide promotion that Popular has from time to time).

Only been to 1 popular sale at expo actually. This is good more for stationery and chinese books. a bit the hazy on what I had bought in the past. If you want good deals, my suggestion is to wait for Bookfest - the last was held in Suntec in Dec 2009.

Not sure which day of the week, if it's weekday, shall update after lunch. :rubhands:

I went to the one at Suntec last year, bought mostly chinese books plus some of the Enid Blyton titles (buy 2 get 1 free).

28 May is a Friday. Maybe it's a public holiday?

Different. the one at suntec was bookfest - that had a lot more story books than I had seen before. the expo ones, according to memory may not have such good value books.

Oh no! 28 May is Vesak day.....so sad. got to make a trip down purposely. 😢

There's a chinese books clearance by Popular at Causeway Point (at atrium area). Books are going for 30% less and 50% if you buy 3 or more. Children's selection is rather limited but they have Snoopy, Lao Fu Zi comic books at $1 each if you are into those 😉
