      schellen:

And by the way, roses and any other flower (even with chocolates and diamonds) don't work on me. No wait, I'll take the diamonds....and sell them to get what I really want....perhaps a shopping trip in Japan ON MY OWN or MY OWN PC or.... šŸ˜‰
Hope your \"other half\" sees this & ACTION! tsk tsk tsk...

        sashimi:
Ha ha ha, hilarious you lot....

OK, well... I seem to be a black sheep among men. I was and still am very interested in parenting. I think it stems partly from my interest in human behaviour and relationships, my love of girls (esp those aged 3 - 36) and I think i deal with certain respects of parenting better than my DW....

Anyway, here's what I think about the topic, why men evolved to let mummy make all the decisions.

        NUMBER 1 REASON, NO CHALLENGE:

        Case Study 1A:

DW: Darling, would you prefer A or B?
        Me: You sure I have a choice? .... OK I like A.
DW: But if we pick A, then this-that-cannot. B might be better.
Me: If you alr picked B, you ask me for my opinion for what???? :stupid: :stupid:

        Case Study 1B:
DD: Daddy, which one do you choose?
Me: Mmmm, I like the rabbit one.
DD: .... But I wanted to choose the rabbit...
        Me: [sianz.....] 😐

        Case Study 1C:
DD: Daddy, which one do you like?
Me: Mmmmm, I \"like\" the blue one. [actually blue one sucks, pink one nicer].
DD: OK! Then I take the pink one! I knew you would choose the blue one!
Me: Yes sweetheart... (your daddy very well-trained by now....)

        NUMBER 2 REASON

        Case Study 2A:

DW: Blah blah blah clothes nag nag nag iron blah blah mess blah DW yadda yadda fish yadda nag nag nag windows nag nag blah blah blah.....
Me: [Start | Programs | Wife | Nagging Neutralizer and Voice Tune-Out Module]
DW: yaadda yodda nag blah yadda ..... So how?
Me: Mmmmmmm.... up to you lor.

I got more reasons, I write later. šŸ™‚
        *shake hand with fellow daddy*

in summary - damned if you do and damned if you don't!

        :celebrate:

Gee, I have never asked my hub the 3 questions,\" Do you love me etc..\". Maybe I should and see if I get the same reaction according to the hubby survival code. Anyway he has the advanced survival code with him: he text me regularly with short but sweet messages but that set me thinking, \"wah, you not concentrating at work or what... but on the other hand it is good that I am the source of distraction šŸ˜‰ šŸ˜‰

In my case, yes, I am the one who would research, source and then let my hub know, \" Oh..I am signing XX up for XXX.\"
          Reply: silence......alternatively
          Reply: \"how much?\" alternatively
          reply: \"again!!!!\" alternatively
          reply: \"grunt\"

If I need help from hubby in tutoring the kids when I am working late or when I could only help 1 of my 2kids, I would tell him specifically, \" Can you go through .... with XX?\"
          reply,\" grunt\"
But honestly, despite all the grunting, my hub is a hands-on family man.

So Misty, you have to talk to hub about your stress, not so much as in complaining,\" You didn't do.....!\"\"I am the one doing all the ...\" (even if that is true, DO NOT SAY IT THAT WAY!) If that draws blank in terms of no proactive action from him, then you plan what your kids need to do and assign hub to help specifically in that area. Sometimes he may be thinking that you are doing such a great job and decide to just leave it to you, not because he does not want to help.

BRAVO!!! The standing ovation was well-deserved!

Wah, many of those lines are quite familiar to me! Some I've used on schellen before! (And of course many she used on me). DD will probably laugh herself silly with this - gotta show her this video some day!

                    Heyya sashimi,

                    Yes! Yes! Must show!

After my girls finished watching the video
with glee... and clapping and jumping up
                    and down... i told them..

See! All mummies say the same thing to
                    their children, not just me!
