        jiyou2003:

It cost S$180 for 2A1C for weekday. So much more expensive then going Genting Theme Park, where the weather is cooler. Thinking of which one to go for June school holiday.

        Any comments?

Putting weather aside, I think the theme park standard is different between Genting and Sentosa.

Oh definitely.. We have the annual pass for Genting since we went there quite often cos DH is from KL.. The theme park in Genting cannot be compared to Universal Studio in Singapore....The only attraction in Genting which we like is the weather and the games stall inside the outdoor theme park...We knew the games quite well, had been paying to practise...kekeke....so we normally aim to win the big and medium prizes...teddy bear in good quality. The last trip we won 4 big teddy bears which sold for around $80.00 in minnie toons here...same quality of fur....

          wow thats coool man!! :celebrate:

Yah....we had won so many soft toys in Genting...previously we even won a blue dolphin as a big prize which is still lying on our bed....but before we sleep, we need to throw it down the bed cos its taking too much space...kekeke....In Genting, their big prize are really big compared to the medium and small prizes..these big prizes especially the soft toys are very huggable and of good material.....Anyway, u pay in ringgit and u can play all you want...not like the arcade in singapore, $50.00 can only last u a few games if u are playing the catcher machine.... :moneyflies:

We plan to go to Universal Studio soon. Just wondering when is the best time to go. Is it very crowded on weekends? Do we need to buy tickets ahead of time or we can just buy on the spot? Will it be too tiring for 3 & 6 year olds to spend a full day there?

I'll tell you if its crowded after coming Sunday cos I'm going this Sunday, our 2nd time. Our 1st time was 2nd day of opening. We had a tiring full day on our first visit cos we did many rides & shows. My 2 DS are older than yours.

                Hi cascada,

Which shows and rides are good for younger kids? We won't try to be too aggressive on our 1st visit. Will just focus on a few rides šŸ˜„

Hi minnie2004, the crowd today to me was manageable, seemed more foreigners than local. However, queues for photo-taking with Characters were long, so we gave them a miss.
Queues for popular rides (Revenge of the Mummy, JR Adventure Ride & Canopy flyers) were around 30 to 50 mins. But I think you should worry about this cos they won't be suitable for v young kids. IMO, you can take your kids to following rides/attractions :
                  - Dino Soarin
                  - King Julien's merry go round
                  - Shrek 4D Adventure
                  - Magic Potion Spin
                  - Treaure Hunters
                  - Donkey Live
                  - Lights, Camera, Action!
I also recommend the following shows :
                  - Waterworld
                  - Monster Rocks
                  - The Rockfellas

We ate at Goldilocks on our 1st visit. IMO the breaded chicken was a little oily. Today we ate burgers & fries at Mel's Drive in. It was nice & filling.

Thanks cascada! That'll be more than enough for us, although I'd love to try the Jurassic Park and Mummy rides myself. My kids would love the King Julien's merry-go-round as Madagascar 2 is their favourite movie

Just went yesterday, thank goodness, nice weather all day long, although can be a bit hot in the afternoon. Singapore, being a tiny dot, what else can we ask for? This USS is good enough and had a wonderful time there. Water coolers can be found everywhere, so no need to worry about spending on drinks.

Due to technical fault, we missed the Jurassic Rapid Adventure ride. We were already sitting on the boat and was asked to leave as they are closing down this attraction. We paid $4 for the locker and demanded a refund. The staffs were very patience and get the locker's personnel to refund us the money. We were very disappointed to miss the ride. After talking to one of the staffs, I suggested her to call me on my mobile once the ride was up. And she really called me two hours later. She asked us to approach straight to the boat, no need to queue up. However, we still queue when we reached there, because the queue was very short. Jurassic Rapid Adventure is a must ride, but can be a little scary on the last part.

Something spoil our mood during the ride. Together with us were 4 PRC young visitors. Two ladies, nicely dressed, opened up an umbrella to cover their lap, worried of getting wet. Somewhere 1/3 of the ride, the ulsher made announcement to ask the ladies to close the umbrella, in English. They ignore. After a while, the ulsher made another announcement in Mandarin and these two ladies simply ignored. When we were in the tunnel, there was another announcement and they still ignored. Hubby and I started to open our mouth to get them close the umbrella, telling them, their umbrella sure going to fly away later and how it might injured us. Then they guai guai kept the umbrella. So super angry on their inconsiderate action :x The ride was meant to get wet and if they are worried of getting wet, wear a raincoat or don't ride lah. šŸ˜ž
