      Hi,

Trust me, for those who had gone through, been through, it is still a scary moment/year for us.

Suddenly, school is piling them with lots of past-year papers and homework and there's no time for revision at all or do any assigned work given by me. Haizzz.....

Like what Janet mentioned, after this SA2, tuition as per normal as tutors want to start P6 immediately. The only break is in second week of Dec before tuition starts again after Christmas.

Double stress for me comes 2016...PSLE and A levels....aiyoh!!! Jia You to all!
same here mumto2. teacher gave all the school's past year exam papers and remaining worksheets...I can't squeeze in any revision on my side. past year exam papers is not a way to revise...it can only be done after revision is completed.

on my side...PSLE and O levels. even if the older one doesn't require my help, I still have to make sure he is revising his work and not whatspping his time away.

daughter asked me why there is no holiday (from tutors) after her SA2...explained to her when school reopens next year, her teacher will go like bullet train to cover the remaining topics...so it's better to start early than late.

same here...can't do much for the older one...just making sure he is doing what he should and remember the urgency.

            Hi all,

Any headstart PSLE camp to recommend for this Nov/Dec holiday?
My DS is P5 this year.

i totally agree what the professor mentioned.

\"Most of our students acquire knowledge just to pass exams, and they do not really enjoy the learning process,\" Prof Tan told the Chinese evening daily

from beginning to end, it's all about learning how to pass exams...for example doing past year exam papers which has been going on all these years.

janet88, actually I do find past year papers a fast way to revise. From the papers, you can find out what the child doesn't know, then revise accordingly. This you don't have to waste time going through everything.

Agree! Especially science, too rigid.. it has to be the 'model' answer. You have to use the exact word eg, strong =/= hard etc..To score well for science, we have to master the technique of answering, knowing the facts is not enough.

As usual, dd2 did badly for CL oral. She knows all the technique in theory but encountered application issue. Don’t know how to help her. She refused to practice with me.

Go for 口试作文班?Ask your dd1 to pretend as examiner?

will it be like spotting questions?
