Do you still need to see the keyboard while you are typing? If you use 10 fingers to type, you don’t have to look at the keyboard AT ALL. You’ll be faster and your thought process won’t be interrupted by you glancing at the keyboard.
When you are using 10 fingers, your fingers also don’t have to move as much. You’ll be faster.
It is up to you whether you want to learn or not. My DS told me it benefits him a lot especially since he doesn’t have to look at the keyboard at all. -
Do you know that the QWERTY layout was designed specifically to SLOW your typing speed down? That's because the old mechanical typewriters get all jammed up if you typed too fast.
So are you sure you want to learn typing on an obsolete old format?? -

I still remember that Olivetti typewriter. My last 2 fingers are weak and learning to type was a chore. Subsequently, I forgot how I picked up the skill of typing. I can manage 90 words a minute using the PC, but slower when using iPad.Do you know that the QWERTY layout was designed specifically to SLOW your typing speed down? I don't think the QWERTY keyboard is going away any time soon, so it's still a good skill to be able to type on that keyboard!Do you know that the QWERTY layout was designed specifically to SLOW your typing speed down? Hi parents/students,
I would like to seek the advice of parents/students on the enrichment classes for the 4 subjects.
I understand most important is which tuition/centre is suitable for the child and which one the child learns better from. There are so many centres around thus having a hard time evaluating them.
Does anyone have any recommendation?
Thanks and any advice will be appreciated.
My apologies if I have posted in the wrong thread. -
We received the 2016 Sec 1 posting booklet today
DD aiming for TJC thou she is not very confident with her PSLE papers. She usually get 2A* and 2 high As but after PSLE she claims that she would at most get only 4 high As... how? Her best subject is Math but she said it'll probably be the subject with the lowest mark since she was so careless :gloomy: She usually get close to full marks at around 97-98 any chance of bellcurve for Maths being lowered? :xedfingers: -

I would recommend Just Education, Science - Ms Shee(Punggol Plaza)Hi parents/students,

Remember that it's not about the tuition centre, but the teacher who teach the student. Ms Shee is a really good teacher, and there is a high chance to Aceing students as long as the student focus in class.

It should be lowered as the math paper was easy for most of the p6 students this year.
