This is my no. 1 so I am rather apprehensive. With his scores, what will be his T score like? 230+ or 240+?

There are 2 schools on my mind now. Anglican high and ngee Ann secondary. Any feedback on these 2 schools?

Anglican High is a good school. It is a Band 1 school and the COP (PSLE) is at 240+.
Ngee Ann Secondary I am now sure, but it is definitely not a Band 1/2 school from the past PSLE booklet record. Nowadays, they do not print the banding in the PSLE booklet and you may need to check it online - not sure if still available in MOE website.

Hi just asking, have you all decided on the sec school your DD or ds will be going? I am staying at Tampines. Any suggestion of good sec school nearby?

My ds marks are around this range at P5.

            El 80, Maths 85, CL 85 and Science 80
I thought i was the only one worrying about this.... prematurely

I have been thinking about this because 1) no affiliation 2) no good schools near home 3) we are far away from everywhere else 4) inaccessibility - I have only 3 bus services here - 1 which is a loop service. 1 goes to the next town next door. And 1 that travels to the north via expressway. Bus interval -20 mins wait.

I don't even know how to choose a decent school which is within reasonable travelling time 🤷

Nicnac, I have similar concerns. No affiliation do kid must work harder to ensure he has a decent t-score. Sec schools nearby are Springfield sec, St hilda’s secondary etc.

Are you eyeing any school at all?

Any possibility of moving house if ur place is inaccessible? If not, u might need to consider sending ur kids to school.

Been checking the bus services/mrt stations around the area of some of the schools..
My dd will have to take transport from our place to the mrt station, make 2 mrt transfers ( total 3 different mrt lines), then make her way to school on foot if school is near mrt station, if not, it will be another bus trip. I cannot imagine the time she will spend on travelling (waiting + journey) :faint:

School did not issue homework for the break..
6 more days of exam 😓

Hi nicnac. Sometimes in life we just have to make compromises and settle for the lesser of two undesirable outcomes. All that travelling would definitely take it out of your daughter. Children spend a lot more time in secondary school with CCAs and the like. You do not want your daughter carrying a heavy school bag during the evening rush hours on her marathon journey home. If you have to opt for a less than ideal choice for a secondary school but with the advantage of being much nearer to home then I would go for it in preference to a slightly better school that is much farther away. Just my five dollars' worth...
