Thanks Lervin and Zbear for the advise. So I guess Geog N Lit are difficult to score too? I still need information on the Geog and Lit syllabus. Anyone? Thanks in advance.

Although it maybe difficult to score in Humanities, you still need to see your child's strengths n weaknesses.
My DD is a Humanities person n she does better in her Humanities subject than her Science subject. Unfortunately, her Science subject is now pulling her score down although she puts in a lot of efforts in that subject.
So pls be careful when you make your selection. -

Thanks, zbear and Augmum for your advise.
I just realize that promotion criteria for Y3 to Y4 is L1R5 where R1 must be a humanities subject. In that case, double humanities will be the better choice cause we can choose the one with better grade, isnβt it? -
Taking double humanities is a good option, if you have confidence in the humanities. Many people in my batch took triple science because they felt that they were weak at the humanities. Instead of taking 2 and failing 2, take 1 and spend more time on it. This is especially so for those who are very strong in Maths and Science.
Geography syllabus
Year 3 Geography: Atmosphere, Lithosphere, Coasts, Hydrosphere
Year 4 Geography: Global Economy, Population, Tourism, Urban
There is a lot of uncertainty in the syllabus now, especially because of the new A level syllabus. Also, since it is a school-based examination, content may vary depending on time available to teach. Best to ask current Year 3s.

Thanks, Jntegration for sharing. My girl thinking to go for Chem, Biology, E. Lit and History. She says she donβt like the topics in Physics so rather choose Biology. Any comment?

Just a question to all, (because results just came out recently)
Is it better to take triple science or double science? (Personally, I think I am a more humanities person)
And if double science Physics or Biology?
Also can someone explain to me the subject combinations in JC in relation to what we take in upper sec?
For example if we take E-Lit now which subjects you can choose in Senior high.
Thanks so much :xedfingers: :siam: -
Hi,
May I know the school hour (I mean reporting time for students) of Duman high school. I am wondering if one Dsa by sport to duman high school, is it true that one has to honour it and stay in that CCA throughout the six years?
Thank you.
