相持 僵持 What is the difference?

Hi, I'm not a CL teacher... But this is my understanding.

          相持,多有 “势均力敌,各不相让;谁也战胜不了对方. stalemate” 之义,好比 “双方相持不下”。
          http://dict.cn/%E7%9B%B8%E6%8C%81

僵持,多有 “势不两立. deadlock, refuse to budge” 之义,好比 “雇主与罢工工人已僵持了近一个星期”。

How to teach HCL at home?

We have gone through a 短文填空 assessment book. I will read and lause to check with ah boy whether he knows the meaning of the 词语 and we checked the dictionary or I verbally explained to him. All seemed ok. He was able to grasp the meaning and how to use.

The next few days, he forgot.

How to make him remember better?

**** Dr John Wong 王德远博士 has been invited to many secondary schools' MT fortnight programs as well as to conduct enrichment classes in schools. He found that even in top schools, there are students who will blatantly tell him in class that they cannot speak Mandarin, they don't understand what he is saying, and if he can speak to them in English. As a result, he sees an urgency in dealing with the issue. Come join us at this free workshop****

I think that you can try to go through the words with your ds perhaps once for every 2 days and give him small surprise questions by asking him of the meaning of a few ci yu at dinner or any other time when your are together . This will help to jolt his memory and hopefully let him remember the words better . This works for dd but I’m not sure if it works for your ds as everyone learns differently . Hope this helps !

                      :thankyou: for the sharing.

Presently, I test him now and then.

Honestly I am getting annoyed at his \"forgetfulness\".

The once a week tuition session is not helping either. I feel like I am throwing money down the drain

                        Hi

Can anyone help to explain what it mean by :

                        议论的句子 and 抒情的句子?

How can we identify this type of sentences in a passage ? Any characteristics or structure to look out ?

                        Many thanks
