For P4 to P5, do they also consider whether the girls have opted for HCL?

Meaning if 350/400, but opting not to do HCL, would she be in the 1st class or in a different class with all the non HCL girls?

            Dear Gardenia64,

You mean more than 320/400 can be 1st class? Sorry to ask- but 320 is not even 85% for Band 1. I thought overall must be 90% and above to be in 1st class? Thks for your further advise!

              Dear all parents,

Another concern is the Higher Chinese class if opt for Higher Chinese in P5. Is it true that there is a lot of hw for this class? Based on my gal’s result, she is highly qualified for Higher Chinese. But their teachers has advise students not to take Higher Chinese, and to concentrate on the core 4 subjects only. Although it is understood that Higher Chinese is not counted in the PSLE T-score, will it be a benefit to take Higher Chinese even if afflicted to ST nick Secondary or other SAP school? Other parents advise better take Higher Chinese as the SAP schools will give preference to students who take this Higher Chinese as compared to another students who has the same T-score. Pls enlighten me. Thanks!
              .

School will pick up the first 120 students to form the top three classes. The rest of classes will be mix as none of the teacher wants to teach the lowest grade class. Then it does not mean that each student will get more than 320 at top class. As school base on end of p4 SA2 results to form the class. P5 subjects are more difficult than p4 subjects.

Hi parents, just to check, typically how many sets of PE attire and uniform must we get? For days with PE, must the girls change back into their white shirt?

P3s have 3 days PE. And if there is a sports CCA, which does not coincide with the PE days, one would be in PE shirts for 4 days. So how many you need depends on how fast you wash and dry the clothes too.

They are not required to change from PE shirt to blouse.

                      Dear parents,

Checking for a friend who would like to find out how does P3 class allocation works ( her dd is in P2):

                      For a P2 with a total score 280 to 289:
Are they assigned to top P3 class, or minimum must be 290 and above?

                      Thanks.

280-289 usually will be able to get to top class.
