我觉得 education should be student-centric. If this is a real case worth looking into, benefit of doubt should be given to the kid. Policies are made by people. Don't let it kill the kids you are supposed to look out for. Look at his past records in science....if DSA can use report book grades to assess suitability of student, that kid's past performance in science can be use as a reference to appeal. 60 marks is no joke.

      Jmho.
      Agree.

But i think they need to find out the underlying reason why the DC did not shade it.

For future exams, there should be a reminder on the screen in front of the hall to remind students to shade their OAS, on top of the count down timer ( if there is any)

If the OAS is not shaded, then the paper should marked as manual to see the actual paper whether students chooses the answer or not. This should be fair to that student. As student is special needs student.

Shading the answers on the OAS can be a nightmare if you are not careful. Once, when DS was in P2, he got the sequence wrong. 5 in a row…ended up 5 marks deducted. Appealed to his teacher but to no avail even after she approached the HOD. They are very strict on this. Painful lesson learnt. From then on, I always remind DS to be very careful with his OAS.
