There is a direct bus service (189) that stops opposite Nan Hua High School. Many students board 189 at Clementi Station Bus Stop.
And yes, they do offer Express Chinese for students who don't take Higher Chinese.
For a T-Score of 250, they should accept students.
Bus stop at Commonwealth Ave West requires about 5-10 minutes of walking time to the back gate, however, if the back gate is closed, students would have to spend another 10 minutes walking to the front gate.
Bus stop at AYE takes almost the same time to travel to the front gate; it is a matter of convenience, but now with the new bus service 189, it is more convenient.
Bus Service 189 has 1 double decker bus currently in its fleet.
It isn't important whether the student gets a high T-score or 240++ T-score, students are treated equally in Nan Hua and all students are offered the chance to maximize their potential.
Syllabus
- Compulsory Lower Secondary Subjects

More Information :
- Integrated Science (offered in Sec 2), is a course that integrated Bio, Phy and Chem.
The topic is focused mainly on the Environment
Biology Part : Ecology, Climate Change, Global Warming
Physics Part : Heat
Chemistry Part : Acids and Bases, Acid Rain and Chemical Changes
This course requires students to express scientific thinking in analysis as well as to train them in project work.
There is a coursework (held in term 2) that allows students to form into small teams and do experiments in their own time. They would then produce a video and report about their experiments. They would also need to present their findings to the class in a presentation.

Hi All,
I am a Singaporean living abroad (Japan), but family and I will be moving back to Singapore soon. My son will have to sit for a test set by MOE for all Returning Singaporeans (like my son), before being posted to a secondary school. MOE conducts this test for all Returning Singaporeans in Oct and Dec, every year.
I have been abroad for almost 15 years and have no idea of what any school is like, in Singapore, nor which school MOE will be posting my son to.
Nan Hua High School is just a stone’s throw away from where I will be staying in SG. So in case MOE posts my son there, I would be very grateful to know what kind of culture exists at Nan Hua High?
From the other threads, it seems that River Valley High has a rather "chinese" culture … Is there such a similar culture in Nan Hua High?
What kind of school is Nan Hua High?
Thank you in advance for kindly sharing. -
Hi,

Hi parents,

Dear parents, I am exploring possibilities for private transport from Amk/Yishun areas to ACS(I), Nan Hua or NUS High school. It takes an awful long time to get to school by mrt…Please share any info on this. Thanks.
