Hi. My child will be P3 in 2016. Attended the school briefing recently regarding the usage of tablet. From the feedback highlighted, seemed to have quite a number of parents hesitant with the usage of tablet.
I am undecided if I should get one. On one hand, don’t want him to feel left out during lessons, on the other hand, worried about handling issue as he constantly misplaces his things.
Also hope to get feedback from parents here what brand/model will you be getting for your child.
Thank you. -
KPB:
P3 no need to buy, sch will loan. Only p4 needs to buy. By then who knows what the new policies will be. :siam:Hi. My child will be P3 in 2016. Hhmmm…that’s strange. I recalled during the briefing where the school reps kept going on and on about the IT programme and the ‘results’. While they emphasised the tablet is not compulsory, not once they mention anything about loan ???

This year did not hear anything on the PSLE top score from NCPS.
any one has the news?
wonder the results with new principle this year. -
You can find PSLE score board here. http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/psle_top_tscores

Stay Positive:
I realise that the school does not indicate the level position as well as the standard deviation etc in the last 2-3 years. Also, With the change that this year P4 students going to ABCDEFGH classes based on top 50% and balance 50%, it makes it even difficult to assess where the child stand in terms of academic performance. What do you guys think ?
timtim:
To me such 'covering' up is like the ostrich's mentality ...The school should reveal level position..without which parents will be clueless if kid has indeed improved or the other way round.

Hi, would like to check if P6 needs to go back school for extra lessons during March 1-week holidays? Thanks.

VJA:
The difference between this year p6 vs last yr was 1 less sch prelim exam which gave the kids some breathing space. This year did not hear anything on the PSLE top score from NCPS.

Not sure which class is 281 from (MT exemption?) as the usual top pupils in the level are not getting that.
Anyway, as an outliner, it doesn't really matter.
I am v happy that 100% of the kids passed psle again. Shows that the sch system works for all.
55 kids get 250 n above.
