May I ask how to appeal?
It makes a difference if you put the school as 1st or 2nd or 3rd choice. When you appeal, I know some schools will ask to state whether you have put them as your 1st, 2nd or 3rd choices.
Although they won't explicitly tell you it makes any difference, I think it does. So choose carefully.
(my DS got 259+2 also; we are thinking of putting RI 1st choice.
If miss by 1 to 2 points, what else do the school look at?) -

Seems like the school will look at your DS's CCA, other achievements and if he has leadership qualities ... -

Trying to establish the lowest t-score of top 10%.
The S1 option form (green form) clearly indicates if a student is eligible for 3rd Language (French, German, Jap, Spanish).
You just need to refer to the paragraph on Third Languages in the form. It will spell out very clearly.
If you only see Malay and Arabic, but no mention of French/German/Jap/Spanish, that means your DD is not offered.
Based on what I have read in this forum, it seems that the cut-off for this year's top 10% is around 255 or 256.
Hope that helps. -

I am rather confused switching from this forum to '(fun poll) 2015 psle results' and '2015 request for advice on selecting secondary school'.

Can anyone give me advice on which school, Bukit Merah Secondary or Outram Secondary is better? Also any parents/students know of how well Outram performed in their O levels?
