Thanks. I did not expect her to do so well. Truthfully, I am a hands-off daddy. I only play games with my daughters and they expect me not to get angry with them. They 'bully' me, however, my wife keeps them in check. She is the DM of the house. Lol.

A lot depends on the character and personality of your child. We only started tuition (2 hrs per week) for only 1 subject (sci) at the beginning of Pri 6 and that was at her request as she wanted to move from A to A* for sci. The only other thing she attends on the weekends is 1.5 hr of NAFA art class. So, credit really goes to her for achieving this result.

I must say that DHS is the trend school for MTS students in 2015. Quite a number of her classmates are all applying to go there. It was her MTS seniors who came back to MTS to promote DHS in a presentation that convinced the whole bunch of them to apply for DHS. That was also why she worked hard to achieve this result. I am very proud of her.

Well done Mike Lee mei mei !!!

      Btw, MTS as in ??

Guess most daddies are hands off when comes to kids' studies...they are kinda the play mates of the kids... šŸ˜‚
Juz like gal's daddy... he literally never needs to bother such stuff at all since she was young...so carefree šŸ˜‰

Hi, MTS as in Mee Toh School in Punggol. BTW, can advise on the year end school holidays for JH1 in Dunman? I am planning a trip from 1 Nov to 11 Nov 2016, is it safe?

Didnt know that this yr, DHS \"caught MTS attention\"...the usual pri schs often heard are Tao Nan, Red Swastika...etc...

Regarding the last day of sch term for JH...the handbook in 2014 n 2015 stated 31 Oct n 30 Oct respectively...so u can plan yr holidays after 31 Oct...

Hello! Im a y3 going to y4 student currently studying in Dunman High and I was wondering if there are any minimum GPA qualifications one needs to get in order to study economics? As I heard only those who get above GPA 3.6 can study H2 Econs. Any seniors who knows do help out! >< 😢

              Hi Jwxh,

Maybe our DDs will be classmates!
I've just altered my DD2's skirts (going year 1 next year) to cover 3/4 of her knee caps since she is in fast growing age. As for my DD1, who is going year 4, prefers her skirts to be just touching the knee caps.
You can purchase their uniforms from the Popular bookshop in DHS now to avoid the long queue during the orientation day.

                Hi,

Anyone can advise if the school has just changed their rules on sch shoes (70% white).
DD2 said that they can wear any coloured shoes except striking-coloured ones now. Does it apply to year 1 too?
                Is all black acceptable?

                Thank you.

                  hi Love Clouds,

i called the school abt the length of the skirt. they mentioned skirt cannot be shorter than 3 fingers away from the knee cap. i need to shorten the skirt too as i found it too long.

As for the shoes, yr DD2 is right. they told me can wear any sports shoes but no colourful ones.

                  see u on orientation day.

Is DHS the only place where I can buy the school uniform or can I go to the vendor directly? Anyway, what defines colourful sports shoes?

As far as I know, there is no minimum GPA required to take H2 economics in SH. This year, a minimum GPA of 3.4 is required for the eligibility of taking 4H2. For those who did not meet 3.4, they can also take econ as H2.
