On reg day, one teach told me the girls don't need to wear uniform. Just need to wear the temporary name tag.

Orientation no need wear school uniform. Just put on the name tag you collected on registration day. Can wear home clothes. They will queue up according to classes then go with their teachers to the classroom, the parents will listen to the talk in the hall. Later then go pick them up. Keep that name tag also for first 2 weeks of school.

Just like a number of anxious parents there, my girl will be starting P1 in school year 2016 (2 wks or so to be exact from now) and I have yet heard the final word from school bus operators in terms of route/pickup times etc. But from what has been tossed around, I have been hearing that the school buses aim to reach school at 6.40am or possibly even as early as 6.30am (which is when gate opens as far as I know). Is that right? That doesn't sound too appealing given that students are not required to be in school until 7.20am or so?

We live within the 2km zone from the RGPS (hillcrest site) - a direct non stop drive from our home along sixth avenue to school is usually no longer than a 10-15 min. commute without your usual peak hour traffic. We have been warned that the pickup time by the buses be no later than 6-6.10am to avoid the congestion - is that plausible? Just thinking out loud given that we're new to all these.

I'm also along Sixth Avenue. The bus operator has just informed me that pick-up for my child will be at 625am. She will be the first few to be picked up. Have you heard from them yet?

I am near Sixth Avenue (but not Sixth Ave), DD's sch bus will pick her up at 6.10am. We plan to try it out for a month or so first...and see how. If really too early for DD, then we may want to drop her off at school instead.

I don't think so. School gave distributes I think. We (P1) got them from the school foc

dd will be in p1 next year…bus will pick her up at 5.50am from jurong east and bus auntie said will reach school by 6.35am…thats too early…now thinking of driving her to sch instead…anyone knows how bad will the traffic be after exit eng neo around 6.50am?

My daughter plan to join string ensemble. We live a little far. It means she need to take her heavy bag+violin in the morning to school. Violin will be used for afternoon CCA. Where should she put her violin until CCA time? Thanks.
