Anybody have more information about the coming Friday Campfire/Welcoming Ceremony? Do the students need to attend? Any parents here had attended in previous years before? Can share with us?

For Sec 2 parents, did anyone receive a call from the macbook insurance co.? They called me in Dec saying that they need to meet up with us face to face and individually to hand over the insurance and to brief us on claim procedure. We didn’t fix the time as we were going away. I found it very puzzling as shouldn’t they do it in a group to be more productive or maybe just use written communication since parents are literate? The last thing I want is for someone to use this time to meet up and try to sell insurance to us.

I'm also a \"Westerner\". Staying at Choa Chu Kang. My boy also need to travel 1.10 to 1.5 hrs to school everyday. If I'm not wrong, there are items like fried rice selling at $1.80 to western food selling at $3 in the school canteen.

Hello, 4AsnJ! Great to know another mommy from the west. Our DSs wil probably see each other in the train one of these days!
Yesterday he mentioned that he saw a Marist alighting at Bt Gombak mrt on his way home. I told him he should say hello next time and make a new friend.

The Friday event should be the concluding event of their orientation week. So students should be compulsory to attend. Parents may be optional

Hello, my boy had shared that they need to attend and will be in school for the whole day.
Apparently, there is CCA roadshow in the afternoon.
Just to share what I had heard
