Hi all, my son fractured his feet last month. As the Secondary school is situated on the slope so going to Bartley Station is very challenging with the clutches so he decided not to bring clutches to school since yesterday and he had cramped muscles on his other leg as itβs a long stairs down to reach to the station. Anybody can give him a lift from school to Bartley Station after school? His lesson ends at 2.15pm today but he can wait around. Thanks in advance.

Hi VitoRelaxheyhoe:
Anyone have kids in band? Mine is now attending 4 times a week. It seems a bit too much. I was wondering if this is a norm or just starting this year?
My DD has just finished 4 years in MSHS and just got his O Level results.
He was in the band.
During his time, band was only only Wed and Sat at the beginning.
It only get intensive when they are competing in the competition by which time, usually there is a camp meaning the camp in school for concentration and comradeship.
Band is very good becos MSHS Band is a top band, most of the time will win competition, also sure get -2 points for O levels.
Hope that helps ...
Thanks for the sharing. Wishing your boy all the best. :rahrah: -

If I'm not wrong, this year has SYF, so those involve will have more practise than usual.
So the norm for Band is 3 times a week. Wow, that is very intensive. Any parent here whose child is in band? Can share?
My son wanted to do sport as CCA but so far no hope as he was not in any school team in Primary school.
So now my son is waiting for Archery for a reply. If still not selected, he wanted to put Taekwondo as CCA. Was told anybody can do Taekwondo.
Any parent can share their view?
Who's your son waiting for a reply from? For the Archery?
I thought we have to submit the 6 options online only? Unless, for those who went for the trials I guess?
My son is keen on the debate club (ELDDS) for now... but also considering Archery for the \"sports\" category
But, from what I know, he didnt go for any trials...hehehe[/quote]Hi winniel_tlh
My son went for table tennis trial, was told not selected. He said something like 4 or 6 only were selected and mostly all were from primary school team, unless u r very good. Oh dear, he didn't tell me anything regarding online submission.
He also went for Archery trial yesterday, so the teacher in charge will let him know

That's normal in Secondary School unless it's a uniform group.Hi all. Forgive my naivetΓ©...but it seems like the CCAs were choosing the boys, and not the boys choosing the CCAs.
Sigh...

My boy from 1G came home late today. According to him, the teacher released them at 2.45pm todayDifferent class has different dismissal time?
My son messaged me at 2:30, they were just dismissed. So, he'll be having lunch in school first before coming home... he's *happy* abt that...hahaha... -

They will be dismissed at 1.50pm according to by my DS.hi Doufu

And, checking with all parents, what time will they be dismissed today? Since it's a \"late\" day? Or is it the same at 1:50pm since it's orientation week?
For my son, he submitted the macbook forms to the form teacher yesterday, & said many of his classmates do it that way too. Guess, we'll just have to wait till Newstead or the school calls to inform that it's ready for collection?
