      Hi,

Do the teachers communicate with the students via mobile phone apps such as whatsapp ?

Is it necessary to give my child a mobile phone to bring to school ?
      Hi hl124273,

I'm a student studying in NYGH secondary 2 this year. Based on his years experience, teachers would normally communicate with students via the email that the school would provide during the first few ICT lessons. A mobile phone is still recommended for your child as there is also a telephone relay among your child's class whenever there is a sudden need to cancel a school event. Hope that this information helps!

            Hi!

I am unsure of the exact school library's opening hours but it would be about 8.30am-before 6pm. The students can photocopy and print materials from the library, but have to pay via their student pass/id. Hope this helps!

Hi, does anyone know the closing time of the food stalls in the canteen ?

I am wondering if my child is able to have some light snack after her training ends at 5 pm

              Thanks

                Hi,

Based on last year's experience, only certain stalls were still open after 5pm, but most stalls were closed. The drinks and snacks stalls would probably do the same this year, but all the other stalls would be close by about 3pm? Also, I hope that your child is having a great time at NYGH!

Sorry for a little advertising here…

During Sec 1 Meet-the-Parent session yesterday,
we were told that there will be a talk on 21 Jan.

We signed up for the talk ($10) right after the session,
only to realise that it clashes with our schedule when we
were back home. So we would like to let go to any
interested parent. Do note that the talk is in Mandarin.

If interested, please PM me. Oh…we only have one seat to let go.

The details of the talk is as follows…
Understanding your teenagers’ emotional needs and how to support them
                      青少年情绪协助与陪伴
                      by 苏绚慧老师

                      Date: 21 Jan, Thursday
                      Time: 6 - 8pm
                      Venue: NYGH Auditorium

For Sec 1 girls, are there normally activities/events during June holidays?
