Thks Breezy, better late than never:) appreciate yr reply. Btw I was told that if the student chose Philharmonic orchestra or symphony band for cca they dont need to do another cca. Is that true? Is it difficult to get into these two cca?
Sry, gg, I don't know enough of these 2 CCAs to advise... -
1. Walk from AYE-about 5 minutes. 1st day we went in the side gate beside busstop and cut through SIT building itself to reach ACSI side gate. It is sheltered until you exit SIT and cross to ACSI.
On 2nd day, the gate beside busstop is still open but the door to cut thru the building is locked. You can walk around SIT building to get to ACSI sidegate. This route is not longer but generally unsheltered.
In the afternoons, seems like the ACSI side gate to SIT is locked after certain hours. Cos on Day 1 and 2 when they ended earlier, my son managed to get back to AYE but not Wed and today cos one of the gates are locked. Not sure which one.
2. DS did mentioned if taking band as CCA, need not take up another.
3. Recess-i saw there is only 1 recess in the timetable, usually pretty early. Dont see anoyher lunch break though. -
Also just confirmed with DS that teacher indeed tell them to change eligibility for RSP to 240.

There’s a lunch break of 20 mins at 12.30.
-
For yr 2 students, do they only have recess break?, No lunch break?

Thee are erratic 20min break only on certain days but I am not sure if it isnused for lunch? Or just gaps becos of scheduling? -

I remembered my sons sharing with me that only yr 1s have the luxury of a 20 minutes' break in between classes. Yr 2 onwards it's just a 40 minutes recess time. No fixed timing every day, some days could be 9+am, other days 11+ am or so.
I guess this is a common problem most students faced in secondary school. Their mealtimes go haywire.
You may be happy to note that CCAs or electives usually start from 3pm or 3:30pm, thus giving the boys some breathing space to grab a bite and freshen up after school. -
Thanks breezy for your detailed reply on RSP
