Hello, I am a private car driver who is already fetching one child (not mine, and with the child’s guardian on board) from St James Kindergarten at Harding Road to Telok Kurau at 11am daily. My daughter has a place at Gilstead for Pre-Nursery Session 1 in 2017. I attended the open house over the weekend and think the school has done a great job with the campus given the limited time they had to get the place ready. The teachers seem to be experienced, gentle and loving too. My daughter enjoyed the hands-on activities set up in the various stations.

My only hesitation is the location. When I called the bus operator, he mentions that he currently doesn’t cover Serangoon Gardens where we live. What are the available alternatives in this case?

If we are not able to work out the travel logistics, my alternative is to consider Ascension Kindergarten within the St Andrews compound. Any feedback on how the two compare?

I’ve visited both St James (also during the Gilstead open house) and Ascension and also asked my friend to ask her friends in the early childhood field. I like both schools though I must say I’m in love with Gilstead more. However surprisingly my friend’s friends all told her that I should go for Ascension, not because St James is no good but because Gilstead is the 3rd campus so the standard may not be consistent. Are there any parents here who can advise on how the different campuses compare?

Hello! My child has a registered spot at Gilstead campus starting 2017 for Pre Nursery. I’ve just waistlisted for the Harding campus as it is slightly nearer to our home. For kids who are in the afternoon session, I understand lunch is served. Just wondering, how that works out as kids at that age may take a long time to finish lunch!

Im intending to put my child in gilstead branch as e other 2 branches is full and with long waiting list. Anyone has any feedback on gilstead? How’s e environment? Is the teacher friendly and caring towards children? What about the curriculum? Any difference from e other 2 branches?

I am also having a little problem with bringing my girl to school.
Im in Hougang. Anyone stay nearby who wish to work out with transportation issue?
Maybe we can hire a school bus services for just our area like hougang, serangoon etc.
