Hi all. Forgive my naiveté…but it seems like the CCAs were choosing the boys, and not the boys choosing the CCAs.

Anyone have kids in band? Mine is now attending 4 times a week. It seems a bit too much. I was wondering if this is a norm or just starting this year?

My son is considering the band as well…but, 4 times/week is quite heavy… -
Mine is currently in Sec 2 but last year was 3 times a week.

Do they need to train on Saturdays? Is he enjoying the band CCA so far? It's one of the CCA that my son is considering right now...

Yes, they train on Saturdays as well. So far, he’s enjoying it and rather proud to be part of the band.
It’s only my concerns on the long hours. -

So the norm for Band is 3 times a week. Wow, that is very intensive. Any parent here whose child is in band? Can share?
My son wanted to do sport as CCA but so far no hope as he was not in any school team in Primary school.
So now my son is waiting for Archery for a reply. If still not selected, he wanted to put Taekwondo as CCA. Was told anybody can do Taekwondo.
Any parent can share their view? -

I thought we have to submit the 6 options online only? Unless, for those who went for the trials I guess?
My son is keen on the debate club (ELDDS) for now... but also considering Archery for the \"sports\" category
But, from what I know, he didnt go for any trials...hehehe
