Parents driving to pick out your girls, the guard showed me that cameras have been installed along Hillcrest road and also along the main road for cars that park illegally while waiting to drive in to pick the girls during dismissal. So even if you don’t see the LTA officer anymore, please take note of this.

The condition of the toilets is really bad. Really hope the school will do something soon.
It is useless to educate the girls to keep the toilets clean when the flush cannot even work! -

Every term 1 student will be selected as role model for each class... how is that different from role model prize giving during speech day ? Do these role models chosen during each term get a certificate ?
Each Term, the 3 Subject Tr (P1/P2) will come together to discuss & decide for each class, who is the Role model for that Term
To be nominated as a Role model pupil, for that Term:
Normally, Subject Tr tend to pick those who are good academically in all subjects, plus display good behavior traits, eg : those \"guai guai\" type.
After making decision, the name of this Role model pupil together with her photo, will be hung on the notice board (announcement), located at the entrance of the canteen.
At the same time, Form Tr will submit the name of this Role model pupil, to the General office (GO), to start preparing a certificate for this student. On Speech day (prize award day at year end, end of Term 4), in Nov, student will go up the stage, to receive this certificate.
At the same time, In the monthly newsletter to parents in class, which some IT Savy Form Tr may walk the extra mile, take the initiative to produce this monthly newsletter with well written articles & interesting photos to update all parents in class of the past one month's activities, the name of this role model pupil for that Term, will be made known.
Not all Form Tr have time, to produce this monthly internal newsletter update every month.
But for those Form Tr who did, parents in that class, were very appreciative.
At this juncture, I would like to give special appreciation to my daughter's P2 2015 class 2B Form Tr Farhani.
Tr Farhani is very IT savy
Each month without fail, she'll produce a monthly class newsletter, to update all 29 parents in class 2B, of what's happening in school. We applaud her for her dedication shown, through these. Many other parents in the same class, are also very appreciative of her.
Tr Farhani teach English lessons, very lively & interesting. The students just adore her.
In one year, only 4 names submitted to GO, be role model pupils.
At the end of P3 : Total, 12 names submitted (4 x 3 years = 12)
At the end of each year :
From this pool of Role Model pupils, Form Tr will select One Rgps girl, to receive the \"Rgps girl\" award.
If a child display excellent attitude in studies & behavior, it is possible to receive the \"Rgps girl\" award again consecutively, more than once, nominated by Tr.
Example
@end of P1 :
X, only one will receive the \"Rgps girl\" award, selected out of a pool of 4 Role model pupils, per class.
@end of P2 :
X, again may receive \"Rgps girl\" award, selected out of a pool of 8 role model pupils, per class.
If X receive the \"Rgps girl\" award in P1 and P2 :
It prove that she has shown consistency in both studies & behavior wise, for past 2 years, because Subject Tr will also be observing the 8 role model pupils quietly themselves, check the learning attitude of these students in class, etc
A role model pupil (P1/P2) is like a mini-prefect.
Form Tr/Co-Form Tr will assign duties for them in canteen, in class, in school hall, etc.
At the end of P3 :
12 role model pupils would have been identified, per class.
These 12 students will attend Leadership Training camp sometime in P3.
During the camp, Tr in charge will observe their behavior, to decide what relevant role to assign for them, to become \"Full fledged\" prefect, no longer \"mini\" prefect.

Looks like I am not the only one complaining about the toilets.The condition of the toilets is really bad. Really hope the school will do something soon.

I was told the toilets are now renovated but I heard that they are still not sufficiently maintained to a decent level. Previously I had a shock of my life to step into the school's toilets during a briefing. I asked my gal and she told me that's why she doesn't dare to drink too much water. The condition isn't as decent as public coffee shops
Also, the girls said some of the staircases are pretty dark around 4pm on their cca days. There are still some renovation work carried out in the school if I am not wrong. Some male workers are walking around. -

We thought the maintenance of the toilets are much improved after the renovation this year. But my gal told me her friends couldn't flush .....and the toilets are still unbearable :roll:
We were near the main school gate and saw the girls walking on the road between the big school buses to board them. Especially those big buses near to the main school gate. A few of them got a shock when the bus suddenly moved a bit. This I thought is very hazardous. Those girls using the bridge to cross to the other side of their buses can walk safely on the pavement at least. There are many buses to send the girls home but it seems dangerous when We did not see any adults helping them to check blind spots on the road in this situation. So parents, please remind girls to be careful if they do not have a choice to use pavement all the way to board their buses. -

Since there are male workers around, I suggest parents should advice their kids not to move around alone in quiet dark areas in and outside school...theres also construction going on at nanyang

The school cleaners needs to be more vigilant in cleaning the toilets.
