Thanks for the details. Well, the only way is to wait and see what it's like, I guess.slmkhoo:
So H3 stuff might already be covered by RA? And can a student take RA in one subject and H3 in another?
NN's DS again.
To the first question: it depends on the RA. I believe Math RA covers most of the H3 content. Phys RA covers all the H2 content in a year, which opens up the second year for extra stuff such as H3 content. Not too sure how much of it is covered, though. Chem RA does not cover much H3 content, but there is significant overlap between the Chem Olympiad training and the H3 syllabus. I don't think Bio RA touches the H3 content.
And yes RA and H3 are separate so a RA student can take an H3 in another subject. -
Thanks for the very useful information, NN’s DS!

Any Y3 parents’ whose DS boarding this year?
Would like to know what is the cost involved and if there are any subsidies?
Is it compulsory? -

Hi Sha, mine has started boarding. if i recall correctly its 900 per term, not sure if there are subsidies. In the letter addressed to parents late last yr, it was written that boarding is not compulsory but strongly recommended and if there are parents who are not signing up for boarding due to financial constraints, they can approach the school for subsidies. -
Hi Blessedmommy
Thank you for your reply.
I was told it was $1600 per month…so for 3mths it will be quite a big sum of money.
If it is $900 per term than I would think it is reasonable.
Was looking forward to sending my DS next year so when I heard it was 1.6k per mth, was a little discouraged.
Hope your DS has an enjoyable time boarding and walks away with memorable memories!!! -

Sure, I will do that. It is heartening to note that the boarding brings out good values in the boys. My DS is looking forward to the boarding too as he thinks he needs to learn to be more independent. Lol. Tks blessedmommy!!!
