Try CHIJ schools? Or any Christian/Catholic schools?
Not being a wet blanket here, but usually there is already a long waiting list for these schools. The locals are already finding it difficult to get a transfer into these schools, what more about foreigners? -

There are MANY who got into local schools and they got their PR usually by Secondary School.Thank you mrswongtuition,
I requested MOE the list of schools twice in the past. Unfortunately, I haven’t had success each one of them. Our children haven't gotten that far to sit for an entrance exam!
You have coached students – that means, there are some internationals who got in local school! That’s very encouraging! Do you happen to know HOW they got in??
There are 2 groups of students I've taught:
1. Parents come here to work and their company help them with the enrolment of their kids into the locals schools.
2. Students come here to study (sometimes alone, sometimes their mothers come along) and they pay a local or get a relative who is SG Citizen to sponsor them/act as their guardian. In this case, the home address will be based on the guardian's address. That's why some guardians who stay at Bukit Timah area charge $2k to $4k a month for such services (including rent and looking after the kids). Many good schools around that area!
You could try contacting some of these agents. They know how to get a place in a local school and all you need to do is pay. -
Ummmm, just dropped by ...
What about Cedar Primary Sch ... located in nice area

This varies depending on your child. There are thousands of assessment books out there, so you might wana find some time to research on the books or dig through the threads in this forum. Definitely need to get this \"Problem Solving Processes in Mathematics\" to handle the increase in problem sums aspect of p5 maths.
Ahh...I only got a \"Problem solving made easy P4\"!
How about Section C in \"4-in-1 Challenging Maths P5\"?
I have it and wonder if it's a same line. -

Thanks for the insight into. Now it makes sense! The school might have some reserve for those agents.

How does a company help with the enrolment?? Do they make a good donation? -

Thanks for dropping by! I tried the school last year, but not this time.
Surely I will add it to my list. -

I heard from my dad (he used to be an agent) that there are Singapore Education fairs held overseas in different countries to attract students to study in SG. Sometimes it’s a form up of the private schools here, sometimes it’s linked up with govt schools.
Not too sure on this cos my dad was in a rush and only managed to give me a small bit of information.
You can try searching online to see if there’s any such fairs or any agent where you are located now to help you secure a place. -
Hi babyblissnz! Another school you may want to contact is the Pei Tong Primary School in Clementi. They have quite an international composition, including kids from Aus, US, Canada, UK, Germany, Mexico etc. Call and ask to see the vice-principal (the Principal is new and usually very busy so it's the VP who deals with and even tours the parents). She is very welcoming.
There are great threads from expats' perspective on local schools at the singaporeexpats forum (http://forum.singaporeexpats.com/forum47.html). Have you checked those out? Indeed there are many expats who go through the local school route. -
Thank you, mrswongtuition and jumping_gene for your great info.
As for an education fair, they seem to promote only secondary schools and colleges.
Wow, I checked the expats' forum for the first time and found out that some expats' kids go to a local school!! That's encouraging! I contacted those schools that mentioned in the forum, but no luck... Some schools have already exceeded a quota for foreign students.
We are still trying, so please feed us any info you have!!
Thanking in advance for your continuous help.
You are very helpful and kind!!
