Standard Chartered Bank's promotion has been extended till end of Jan 2016. So far, the bank is flexible in providing higher rates. Have friends getting 2.1% pa for $40K for 2 years and 2% pa for $200K for a year.

Is this still on, i dont find anything on their website ?

Yes it is still on till end Jan. I even have the bank promised to give me the same good rate if I bring in more fund by end of Jan. This is the best so far.
:thankyou:

Me! But i am not familiar with Sing Fin so max i will place with them (for the first time) is 2 X $38K as insurance coverage is up to $50K only.

You will still suffer a loss of $26k in the worst case...

                :stompfeet: WTF! Oops, sorry.

Just left Sing Finance. Wanted to open a one yr FD with them to benefit from their free abalone promotion. Queued for half an hour and when it reached my turn, I was told that the person just before me had taken the last can! :stompfeet:

The two yr FD with a can of Australian abalone still avail. I didn't go for it as I was still upset.

If it's an added incentive why not? 😂

Still recovering from the disappointment 😢

The barrel is not very practical, display during CNY then the other 50 weeks in a year will stow it away in the store room.

May try CIMB tomorrow, ME TIME too short to cheong too many places.
