Thanks. My girl is too much on the Internet. I don't think so as she always give herself a good excuse if she did not do well. She is happy go lucky one. Hope Sngs sec life can change her to be more confident.
My dd2 spends a lot of time surfing the net too. Now in sec 2, she's still very carefree, unlike our neighbour's dd from sngs. From the point of view of a parent, a school like sngs will be good to train her to spend her time wisely.

I think the Maths Enrichment is the same as Maths Olympiad becos is the same day and same timing as IP. There will be 2 batches, teacher will allocate which batch to go after u express interest in joining.

Sngs sec o levels is not like Rgs, nygs which need spend more time at Internet as a lot of homework and answers are on their school intranet, so those students need access more on the Internet.

This year affiliation COP is 230 not 220. Psle is already over for morn than 2 months, all the girls already head start for their sec school life on the first week of the Jan. now everyone start to adopt sec life at Sngs regardless your psle score.

So is it true that the girls will learn O level topics even in S1? IMO, transition into sec sch curriculum is already quite tough by itself. How much more tougher it must be to learn the upper sec, i.e. O level topics. 🤷

That is what I heard recently. I was pretty shocked too. My dd sch did start their pupils on O level content but it was to a small extent. They were more involved in lower sec subjects including art, music, home econ, D&T and non-academic enrichment programs. There's no time for heavy O level topics.[/quote]In lower secondary, we learned slightly in depth 3/4 of the olevel chapters for chemistry depends on the teacher though for biology not that much many complicated topics thought in upper secondary. For literature its diff. Book every year.

May I know is Sec 1 or 2 learn the in depth of o level of chemistry? Depend on teacher, does it mean that the stretch class will be taught the in depth of chemistry?

                    :yikes: 3/4?!
I am sure many of you will ace in o-level chemistry, that being the case. The process must be very tough but the result will be a rewarding one. Hope you have enjoyed your school life despite the hard work. šŸ˜„

In RI thread (page 533), it was mentioned that, 55 ex St Nicholas O level students joined 2016 Year 5 cohort, for A level.

from the same batch (2016 Year 5), how many went to Hwa Chong, Victoria JC and National JC ?
between Hwa Chong & RI, more St Nick girls usually tend to end up in RI, or HCI ?

between VJC & NJC, more girls tend to end up in VJC, or NJC ?
