Oh, can't use my address? my address is Toa Payoh and my husband is Bishanqms:
If I go ahead with Pei Chun Phase 2c <1km and did not get selected, what is the next phase that I will be in? is it 2c supplementary?
The address shown in your husband's NRIC will be used to calculate home-school distance.
Yes, should your child be unsuccessful in P2C, the next stage will be P2CS.muthusamy:
How far are you from Kheng Cheng? What do you think are the chances of getting in to Kheng Cheng in 2c Supplementary?
I'm more than 1km, less than 2km from Kheng Cheng.
No, Father's address is to be use. -
hi parents,
My home is strategically located within 1 km radius of 3 primary schools.
the school i was aiming for all these years...doesn't offer higher Mother tongue
Does anyone know the effect of not taking higher mother tongue in PSLE results? will it be easier for my son.
thanks -

Your school may not offer higher mother tongue at P1. But most schools do offer higher mother at higher level p4 or p5 onwards.hi parents,

Have you checked your school this ? -

i checked SIS (MOE’s website). The school doesn’t offer HMTL. The Other 2 schools offer HMTL.

Hi fellow Kiasu parents (KSP),
This is our very first application for our only child (atm).
We’re staying within 2km from the following: Guangyang, Kuo Chuan, Marymount, Townsville, Teck Ghee & of course Ai Tong.
We’ve narrowed down to 2 schools to apply for my girl when the time comes: Kuo Chuan and Marymount.
Last week we’ve applied for PV for Kuo Chuan & are in the process of applying the same for Marymount.
For Kuo Chuan, we have no affiliation but we’re preferring a co-ed in view of potentially having a 2nd child in the coming year or so.
For Marymount, my wife is catholic (not sure if that counts).
So the route we’re planning is 2B for Kuo Chuan & if that fails, we will try for 2C Marymount.
Are the steps taken by us logical by KSP’s art of war? Appreciate any tips and advise.! -
Hi folks, I am in dilemma now. I am staying less than 500m to ai tong pri.
Son is born in 2011, my girl in 2012.
We are thinking of trying ai tong phase 2B but realized that the constituency that my hub is serving for grassroots is not within the area we are staying.
So do we fall in phase 2c?
If 2c, any chance of getting in? -
#1 / Girl / PR
Considering Gongshang as first choice and Yumin as backup, under 2C. Both are >1km from our block. If I understood the ballot history correctly, there has always been balloting for SC >1km at Gongshang. Yumin always have balance seats. Which means PR stands no chance at Gongshang. Please correct me if I am wrong! Not planning to PV and application has closed anyway. Will be applying for SC (not for enrolment advantage but because I studied here since primary school and my girls will grow up here too, so may as well convert now). If not SC by the time of P1 registration, we will just enrol her at Yumin to save time and effort.
I can’t find much info or discussions on Yumin. Is anyone familiar with the school’s culture and performance? -

Hi Cherrygal,
You have taken a safe route. No need art of war.
By taking this safe route, does it also mean its the most sensible one for our scenario? -
