I believe the DSA testimonials are useful

There is a school where 33% of the cohort gets offer via DSA -- the form teachers have been busy since term one to get ready the testimonial especially for those students who are expected to apply via DSA.
That is an impressive percentage of students getting DSA. Do you know if they got in through Academic or Sport DSA? Also, which school would this be? Thanks.

only a handful got in via sports dsa, the great majority are based on academic

according to the sec schools, those who get in via sports dsa must be among the top 3 nationwide for the particular sports

pls enilghten me…if the child gets through via academic, does it mean must be in GEP? what is the chance of a mainstream kid being sucessful via dsa on academic criteria…is there some guideline eg getting band 1 for all subjects or something?

last year at the RI open house, for example, the principal said something like all subjects must be consistently close to 90s and above for P4 to P6.

and if you win some math olympiad, FPSP, etc that will help too. not necessary must be from GEP

for that school that got 33% of their cohort offerred via DSA, which is about 160 students, only about 120 are GEP, assuming all GEPpers got in via DSA - that means at least 40 ~50 are from mainstream got offered via DSA - and there could be all 40 ~50 of them are national sportsman at P6

This must be a GEP school then, for the majority to have gotten in via DSA academic?

Thanks. I can guess which school this is already. 🙂 My friend's son was from the school and he was one of those who got in via DSA Sports. And a few of his friends got in via Academics.

i hope not too…otherwise the mainstream kids will have a slim chance; GE kids always have an advantage
