Thanks for the explanation. Not sure my daughter actually can or should go to university, and anyway, she only takes her A levels this year. And I can't see her coping with work and studies at the same time! We'll see how things go.

Part time quite siong....think it starts at 6pm and ends at 10pm....judging by the traffic along clementi.

Oh, so there is a work requirement for the part-time courses? I didn't realise that. So someone who just completed A levels without work experience can't apply?

As mentioned earlier, SIM has 2 sub-brands: SIM Global Education (SIM GE) and SIM University (UniSIM).

If apply under SIM GE, it's a full time degree course and the student may or may not work part-time. Most don't.

At time of application, UniSIM students are working full-time and they study part-time. Lessons are 7-10pm on weeknights. Some students quit their full-time job after application to concentrate on studying full-time (not many do that tho).

When the idea of UniSIM was mooted a few years back, it was aimed to give non-grad working adults a chance to further their studies. That's why their classes are at nights and sometimes on Sat.

Offered SMU PLE. Anybody else? Remember reading about someone mentioning SMU PLE somewhere. It’s the pioneer batch. Very small cohort size. Hard to gauge whether it’s good or not.

Hi,


Need some advise…I’m going to register my dd to retake her A level and at the same time applying Uni courses. The subjects she going to retake are 3H2 + GP (even thou she did well for GP but I read somewhere GP must be the same sitting). My question is, can she opt out H1. Can she use her last yr H1 and PW + this yr H2 and GP to apply for 2017 Uni?

Appreciate your advise.
