Recently, I heard that the school cancelled the annual cross country because the kids don’t like. I thought the school should encourage kids to exercise more than follow to their wish and slack. Today, when I check the Life of a Marist page, I was surprised that they have a cross country team and the team actually won some awards. I guess this might be the only school with a school team but don’t have the annual event. Any comments from parent here?

Anyone have kids in band? Mine is now attending 4 times a week. It seems a bit too much. I was wondering if this is a norm or just starting this year?

My DD has just finished 4 years in MSHS and just got his O Level results.

          He was in the band.

During his time, band was only only Wed and Sat at the beginning.

It only get intensive when they are competing in the competition by which time, usually there is a camp meaning the camp in school for concentration and comradeship.

Band is very good becos MSHS Band is a top band, most of the time will win competition, also sure get -2 points for O levels.

          Hope that helps ...

Not sure. Win is one thing, to get bonus point no need win actually. There's many other things to fufill to get bonus points now.

Can I know where do parents usually get black pant for the band’s performance? My ds got small waist only 24 inch - difficult to find and not enough time to tailor-made.

My DS was down with fever and missed the cross country last year.
He was disappointed when the rumour was confirmed that this year cross country was cancelled.

Today he told me cross country will be held on 1st April 2016 after school receiving many feedbacks. Hurray!

              Start training this weekend.

My son made this video for his CCA. They are about 100 votes behind. Thanks.

                      Hi,

My DS is currently in P6. Initially we wanted to put MSH as first choice. But I have read up some of the older posts with not so positive comments about the school eg some classes are rowdy and noisy, teachers unable to control class, fights, no hp allowed to be brought to school, etc. My concerns grew. Hope to read some new updates about the school. Anyone can share more?

                        I am a neutral voice.

dh relative teaches here for few yrs already, she said ok ; church fren kids oso here - their experience are alright. heard new P is good.

I thought most or all boys sch tend to be more rowdy - MSH is a SAP sch - means all express classes - the academic level is of certain standard , thus the students background will be of certain calibre too - I dun think all boys are having bad behavior(( if prediction based on kids academic & family backgrd)

There will always be a few nauti or challenging ones for all sch to handle .
The negative comments in older posts may be fr some unlucky boys who got bullied by a big bully or happen to be in an unlucky class - the lower results grp may come fr affiliation or dsa boys 🤷 ( my guess guess oni)

feel that there is no such sch as whole sch of nauti kids - unless we are talking abt a neighbouring sch of Normal technical class (?) 🤷
