Does anyone know how the classes are streamed in primary three, four, five and six?

Is it according to the students' result or is it haphazardly?
Do the best students go to 3A and then the next best to 3B and so on?

Nope, the best students go to the classes F,G,H and I. G being the music class, F being the smarter class, H being the sports class and I being the second sports class.

No, it doesn't work that way. Think about it, they go to school at 1 P.M., ends at 6 P.M., it'd be night time if they took CCA(s). Because, none of the CCA can be done. Band? It'd need alot of light. The band room is huge, mind you.

Gardening? OH NO IT' A MOTH!

:lol: :lol: true...I thought there's something in the morning?? I guess not...BTW. what's the popular CCA group there? My DS saw the lion dance photos on their school website, and he's really keen? :roll:

Jllisa, my DD was just mentioning Janelle to me yesterday, think they were sitting next to each other during recess.


Cbreeze, I think the earliest to join CCA is probably P2? Not sure about PC, but my nephew, who’s in Yang Zheng has been invited to join the chess club (he plays chess very well and has a very strong interest in the game) and he’s P2 this year.

I am also trying to figure out how they perform the streaming. Since as you mentioned only the best students goes to classes F,G,H and I.

What about those who are good in sports but not among the best students?

Does it means they will not not have the opportunity to join the sports class? :?

As long as your child got talents on Table Tennis, Basketball or Volleyball,
he is able to join the Sport Class.

My son is in P3 Sport Class and his studies is only average....

So is that to say that your son joined the mentioned sports group in P2 and got spotted for his talent ? Or care to clarify how does the selection takes place, since P1 & P2 are in PM session and presumably no CCA...how does the selection work? Tks for explaining.. :roll: I'm clueless

The respective coaches will do the selection of P2 students during two of their PE period once a week. At the end of their P2, the selected P2 students are invited to join the Sport Class .
