      CTong:
My DS is also super busy.....with 3 times a week training in swimming, reaching home past 8pm :? . Why so many days of training? :? Is it normal?

I think it's normal for sports. My daughter takes 2 CCAs (1 club, 1 performing arts) and she has a total of 3 sessions a week. But the latest she finishes is 6.30pm. Some of her CCA mates make a practice of eating dinner together, but I told her to come home to eat as it saves time and is healthier (and we want to see her!). I don't mind her eating with them once in a way, just not every week.

I am looking urgently for a reliable tutor/tuition centre, preferably in the north-east, for JC H2 Biology. If you have any good recommendation, please advise. Thanks in advance. 😄

How do your kids store their copious notes? My daughter gets huge chunks (and it’s only April of JC1!) and she doesn’t want to punch holes as she writes in the margins, and she says it’s too troublesome. I’ve considered filing boxes, but she will need lots for 2 yrs of notes. I think a filing cabinet (which we don’t really want or have space for) would be an overkill. Any suggestions?

Can't she write her notes on the top/right margins? Or use Post it pads to write n paste on?

For me, I feel it's more organized, neater n quicker to retrieve if you file in arch files. Both my kids do that as they know I can't stand messy piles of papers lying around.

                😄

I’ve suggested, and she doesn’t want to. I do sympathise as it really is easier to have your annotations next to the relevant item on the page. My older daughter uses those large arch files, but doesn’t seem to have as much in the way of notes. If all else fails, maybe my younger one will have to do so as well, but I thought that if we can find another solution…

Where might be a good place to look for filing options? Popular? What are the main stationery stores in Singapore?

Aren't they bound in book form?

Punch holes and put in arch files, retaining the booklet format

If you don't want to punch holes, you need to spend more money on clear holders, or buy those transparent plastic sleeves that come with punched holes for you to file into arch files. I buy them in packs of 100 for ds' tuition notes.

Saw some mobile filing cabinets at Ikea. Those with wheels which office has. You roll it under your study desk. Filing cabinet Dividers/Pockets could easily be found in Popular. Or it might come with the cabinet already.

Yes, transparent plastic sleeves is a good alternative. My DD uses this option a lot too.
